# 2024 Australian National SAMBO Championship and National Seminar for Referees December 6-7-8 2024 (Sydney, NSW) > Seminar in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia | December 04, 2024 – December 08, 2024 ## Overview **Event Type:** Seminar **Description:** 2024 SAMBO National Championships is an annual championship for all participants aged 6 and above as well as a selection for 2025 WORLD MARTIAL ARTS GAMES in China (7-17 August 2025). This tournament is offering Sport and Combat SAMBO disciplines as well as National Seminar for coaches and referees (5th of December). Combat SAMBO participants will require to provide a Medical Clearance Certificate from their doctor at weight in stating that they are fit to participate in the competitions. Combat SAMBO uniform set ($150)- jacket, shorts, without shoes , protective gear- helmet, shin guard and gloves. The participation fee is**$50for the members**per category. Sport SAMBO uniform (jacket and shorts, NOT including shoes) can be ordered for $100 when registering for the event via sending height, weight, waist and shoulders measurements to email ceo@sambo.org.au. It will need to be picked up at the event on the 6-8 of December. Combat SAMBO uniform can be ordered for $150 (whole set- jacket, shorts, shin guard, gloves, helmet, not including SAMBO shoes) when registering for the event via sending height, weight, waist and shoulders, head measurements to email ceo@sambo.org.au. The event is welcoming all participant starting from 6 years old and offering the following age and weight divisions: **Sport Sambo** ⁃ Junior Boys and Girls (6-10 years old) ⁃ Cadet Men and Women (11-14) ⁃ Junior Men and Women (15-18) ⁃ Senior Men and Women (18 and older) - Senior Men and Women Open (18 and older) - Veterans and Masters (35 and older) **Combat Sambo** Cadet Men and Women (14-15) Junior Men and Women (16-18) Senior Men and Women (18 and over) Veterans and Masters (35 and older) All the participants of the championship can participate in the National Seminar where the new rules, scoring and techniques will be presented and explained by Sambo professionals. **Schedule:** 6 - December 10:00-17:00 National Sambo Seminar (coaches and referees separately) This Seminar provides a unique opportunity to develop International level Referee skills and knowledge in SAMBO as well as SAMBO coaching. At the end of the Seminar the participants will be granted with National Level Certificate accredited by Australian SAMBO Federation.
