Black Belt under Roger Gracie Dan Strauss, an accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, holds titles like ADCC and NAGA European Champion. A Polaris, EBI, and ADCC veteran, he is also the host of the Raspberry Ape Podcast, where he explores grappling and training insights. Known for his unique grip strength training, Dan teaches worldwide.
Antonio is a Jiu Jitsu black belt and coach at SBG Rochdale, as well as an active Cage Warriors lightweight contender. Known for his relentless style and multiple Fight of the Night performances, he’s firmly on the path toward a shot at the Cage Warriors lightweight title.
Lloyd is a second-degree black belt and a cult figure in the UK BJJ scene, known for his leglock prowess and standout performances as a Polaris veteran. His accomplishments include an IBJJF European title, gold at ADCC UK Pro, and numerous NoGi submission-only victories. Based in East Yorkshire, Lloyd leads and coaches at his academy, Gripper Jiu Jitsu.
A former Royal Marine Commando and true pioneer of UK MMA, Martin "Stapes" Stapleton has built a legacy across top promotions including The Ultimate Fighter (Season 9), Bellator, and Cage Warriors. His career highlight came in 2015 when he captured the BAMMA Lightweight World Title. Today, Stapes is the head coach at SBG Rochdale, where he mentors and develops the next generation of UK MMA talent.
Jiu Jitsu Competitor & Instructor Professor Vanessa English is a BJJ black belt under Victor Estima and representative of Escapology BJJ in Cambridge. In the colored belts she is a multiple times European champion, in both Gi and No-Gi, and is the first British-born Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor to win the IBJJF World Championships. Vanessa would later cement her status as one of the sport’s top featherweight athletes, by medaling at the 2018 World Championship and winning the 2018 European Open, both at Black Belt.
With over 20 years of experience in contact sports, Leigh Horne has transitioned from rugby league to powerlifting, football, and wrestling — developing a deep passion for Catch-as-Catch-Can (CACC) wrestling. After training under Luke Mannion and earning his Level One Accreditation with SnakePit Wigan, he joined the GH instructor team. Now based in the Midlands, he is focused on coaching, growing the CACC community, and preparing athletes for elite competition, with the goal of competing at the World CACC Championships.
With a background that includes an 8-year career as a Royal Marines Commando and competitive experience in rugby, powerlifting, strongman, fell running, CrossFit, and Hyrox, Aaron brings over 15 years of real-world training and performance knowledge to the gym floor. Having played rugby at elite levels—including two appearances at Twickenham for the Army vs Navy match—he understands the demands placed on both body and mind. Aaron is also a qualified Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist, using his expertise to help clients recover from injury and move pain-free. His coaching focuses on building functional strength, improving mobility, and making training both purposeful and enjoyable.
