"2026 Kids Alaska State Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi Championships™
When: May 23rd starting at 9:15am. More detailed start times by bracket will be available a few days before the event.
Where: UAA Avis Alaska Sports Complex
2801 Spirit Dr Anchorage, AK 99508
Cost: $90 your bracket or $100 for your bracket and the absolute (all weights) division.
Registration Deadlines: April 1st 11:59pm to receive a free shirt, after April 1st there will be no free shirt, May 13th 11:59pm is the final deadline for regular registration. Anyone registering after April 1st 11:59pm will be charged an extra $10.
This tournament is open 5 – 15-year old’s Brackets will be Coed no separation of boys and girls.
Weigh-Ins and Gi Check: You will weigh-in shortly before your first match. If you are not sure you can make a weight class, you should register for the next class higher. Your Gi will be measured to make sure it falls within the IBJJF standards. If you are unable to make the weight you registered for then you will not be allowed to compete in your weight division (but still in absolute if you registered for it), no refunds. Bring your ID to weigh-ins.
All participants need to read the rules regarding Gi requirements. Failure to meet those requirements will result in disqualification, no refunds. We recommend all participants bring an extra Gi in case their Gi does not meet the requirements.
At the time of weigh-ins you will need to sign a liability waiver. Minor participants must bring a parent or legal guardian to sign the waiver, failure to do so will result in disqualification, no refunds.
Rules Clinic: May 22nd, 6-7pm at Anchorage BJJ (113 W. Northern Lights Blvd Suite I, Anchorage, AK, 99503). The entire set of rules will be reviewed, and questions answered. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend.
Brackets: Brackets will be posted by Monday, May 18th .
