About This Event
We invite you to come and compete at our first Kids Open of 2026 in Sherwood Park, Alberta! This one day event is open to the little Albertan practitioners that are looking to get a little more experience competing in a smaller, calmer environment. The event will consist of only 3 mat spaces and limited spaces. We recommend you register as soon as you can to guarantee your child(ren) a spot before we reach capacity!
KIDS GI / INTERMISSION / KIDS NO GI
Please be advised that the schedule will update throughout the day, so we recommend showing up first thing in the morning to help us keep the event running as smoothly as possible!
KIDS:
EVENT REGISTRATION: $40 - 1 Division / $70 - 2 Divisions
**Scheduled intermissions are 15 minutes in duration**
**Your final day to change your class (belt,age AND/OR weight) is at 11:59pm on the 16TH OF APRIL. Any requests to change after this date will be denied**
**Refunds will be given on a case-by-case basis. Please note that failure to arrive to the event, failure to make weight or missed matches do not qualify for a refund.**
**Athlete edition deadline is APRIL 28TH. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CHANGE DIVISIONS AFTER THIS DATE**
No movement requests are processed by CLBJJ Staff via email while Registration is open.
Changes to any Athlete's Registration, or Cancellation to any Athlete's Registration, MUST be initiated by the Adult Athlete or Youth Athlete's Parent/Guardian in Smoothcomp.
Adult Athletes, and Parents/Guardians of Youth Athletes, are SOLELY responsible for ensuring they are registered in the proper weight category BEFORE Late Registration Closes.
NO movement accommodations are made the day of the event.
