Parents/Guardians of youth athletes can create their account, add your youth(s) to your profile, and use your youth(s) profiles to register for events. Up to 7 additional profiles (8 in total including your own) can be added under 1 account. Athletes**MUST**be in an Academy/Club**ON Smoothcomp**to be able to register for events. This is so we minimize athletes from the same Academy/Club competing against each other in matches. If you are not associated with any Academy/Club OR the Academy/Club you are associated with is not on Smoothcomp, you can choose the "**Can-Am International Martial Arts Championships (No Academy)**" option. If you don't see your academy name, you may contact your academy manager to create their academy on SmoothComp or choose the "**Can-Am International Martial Arts Championships (No Academy)**" option. For Dragon and Lion Dance divisions, only 1 member of the team needs to register. Please have your team members' names (NOT team name) added in the Note section as we will use this for check-in. Each member of your team is required to register individually for the event. When registering for team event(s), please make sure you choose the correct team. If you don't see your team name in the selection, please create a new team with a name for your other teammates. Ensure that all your team members are registered in the same team and division. ***Please note that failure to meet the minimum required number of team members will result in disqualification of your team without a refund.** You do not need to register for Grand Championships. You will be automatically entered into the grand championship if you meet the requirements. Visit [our website](https://www.canaminternational.ca/) to find out the requirements of Grand Championships for your events. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Changes to athlete's registration or cancellation to athlete's registrations MUST be completed by the adult athlete or youth athlete's parent/guardian in Smoothcomp.**Login**to your account and click on "**My Account**". Then click "**Edit**" for this event. To cancel all registrations, click "**Cancel**". If you need to change the category of your registration (e.g. from Wushu to Traditional KungFu), please email us at canammartialarts@gmail.com with your full name and the divisions you want to switch from and to. If you registered multiple divisions and would like to cancel one registration, please email us at canammartialarts@gmail.com with your full name and the division you want to cancel and we will manually cancel that. Refunds will be available in 5 - 10 business days. Athletes and parents/guardians of youth athletes are SOLELY responsible for ensuring they are registered in the proper weight class BEFORE Late Registration closes. NO CHANGES ARE PERMITTED AFTER LATE REGISTRATION CLOSES AND OUR SCHEDULE IS RELEASED. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE IN THE APPROPRIATE WEIGHT CLASS BEFORE LATE REGISTRATION ENDS. No changes are made on the day of the competition UNLESS an athlete becomes the sole competitor AND Can-Am International Martial Arts head judges determine it is possible to move an athlete up or down a weight class. This decision is at the sole discretion of Can-Am International Martial Arts head judges and is likely ONLY possible if there is ample time before the next weight class division begins. ***If you are the only competitor in your bracket and we are not able to assign you a match, we will refund you 100% of your registration fees even after the cancellation deadline.** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A 5% processing fee applies to refunds on cancellation until normal registration closes. Cancellations within the Late Registration period are subject to a 50% refund. ***95% refund until April 26, 2026.** ***50% refunds from April 27, 2026 to May 3rd, 2026** ***NO credits or refunds after May 3rd, 2026.** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Coach passes are $40 per person for the entire event. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Only one coach per academy is permitted at each mat, and coaches must sit in the chairs provided. Once the match is over, the coach must yield the chair and leave the mat, unless actively coaching the next match. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spectator tickets are $25 per person for the entire event. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
