**WEIGHT CONTROL**

The weight
control opens at 8:30 am and closes at 4 pm and in this period the athletes can
carry out the weight control whenever they want but they must do it absolutely
at least one hour before the start time of their first meeting indicated on
smoothcomp ( please note that the times indicated on smoothcomp are estimated
times that often vary during the competition because they are updated in real
time based on the duration of previous meetings).

At the time of
the weigh-in the athletes must show only an identity document.

In the No-Gi
competition athletes must weigh themselves wearing competition shorts and a
rashguard which can be of any colour.

In the
competition with Gi the athletes must weigh themselves wearing the Gi-kimono
with which they will fight which can only be all white or all royal blue or all
black.

Athletes
registered for both the No-Gi and Gi competitions can ask the weigh-in control
for the No-Gi competition to consider this weigh-in control valid also for the
competition with Gi (in the corresponding weight category which, considering
the weight than the kimono, is about 2-3kg higher).

At the
weigh-in, lifters who do not fit into the weight category they entered are
disqualified from the weight category tournament but can still participate in
the Openweight if they registered online and confirmed their participation.

Athletes
enrolled in Kid 1 (4-5 years of age) do not carry out the weight control but
must still present themselves at the weight control table, accompanied by an
adult, to confirm participation in the competition.

Athletes
registered in categories with no weight limit must in any case present
themselves at the weight control table to confirm their participation in the
competition.

At the time of
the weigh-in all athletes registered for the Openweight must confirm their
participation otherwise they will be cancelled.

Athletes who,
after passing the weigh-in check, are alone in their weight category, must
immediately go to the podium area and ask the Area Manager to be rewarded.

After the
closure of each weigh-in, the athletes who did not show up for the weigh-in are
canceled both from their weight category and from any Openweight.

After passing
the weigh-in, athletes must check that the green dot appears next to their name
on smoothcomp (if the red dot appears, they must immediately return to the
weigh-in control and ask to verify otherwise they cannot fight).

**BEGINNING OF
THE MATCHES AND CONDUCT OF THE COMPETITION**

All athletes
and their coaches are invited to bring well-functioning smartphones and/or
tablets with a fully charged battery to the competition venue because they will
have to independently access smoothcomp to check the start times of their
matches and the mat where they will have to present themselves to fight.

For this
reason, after the weigh-in, the athletes must constantly check on smoothcomp
the estimated start times of their meetings, which often vary because during
the competition they are updated in real time based on the duration of the
previous meetings, and the mat where they will have to fight (IMPORTANT: the
athletes are NOT called to the mat with the loudspeaker).

Ten minutes
before the start time of their match, indicated on smoothcomp, the athletes
must enter the competition area and present themselves at the exact mat
indicated on smoothcomp where they must play the match, positioning themselves
on the correct side of the Official of the match at the table and waiting in
silence (in the match area it is strictly forbidden to cheer and advise other
athletes while fighting).

The athlete
who is on top of the bracket (green/yellow) must position himself on the side
of the table Official's left arm and wear the green/yellow belt in the Gi competition
and the green/yellow anklet on the right ankle in the No-Gi competition. The
athlete below in the bracket must position himself on the right arm side of the
Official at the table.

At the end of
the match prior to the one they have to play, the athletes must present
themselves to the match official at the table, declare their surname and name
and ask for authorization to get on the mat to fight.

The athlete
who at the end of the match prior to the one he has to play does not present
himself to the competition official at the table or has not yet carried out the
weight control, will be disqualified.

In case an
athlete has to play bouts on several mats at the same time, he must ask the
Range Officer standing at the mat table of the next bout to postpone his bout.

In the event
that an athlete has to play a match within 5 minutes of the end of his previous
match, he can ask the Official at the table to take advantage of a 5-minute
recovery time.

The athlete
with the green/yellow belt or anklet must leave it on the table of the match
official after the match.

After
finishing their bout, athletes must immediately exit the match area.

Athletes who
withdraw from the competition for any reason must notify the competition
official at the table on their carpet.

After the
tournament for their weight class ends, athletes participating in the
Openweight should check smoothcomp for the estimated start time of each of
their Openweight bouts and the Mat where it will be played.

It is strictly
forbidden to consume food and drink inside the competition area.

**AWARDS**

At the end of
the final of each weight category, the first 4 classified athletes (first,
second and two thirds) must immediately go to the podium area and ask the
podium area manager to be rewarded (athletes are not called to the podium) .

**COMPETITION
RULES**

For all that
is not provided for in these Regulations, the Regulations for Brazilian
jiu-jitsu competitions of the IBJJF apply but without the assignment of
advantages (for children under 16 the restrictions set forth in the Regulations
of BJJ ITALIA apply) .

At the first
meeting, if possible, athletes from the same Academy/Team will not be paired.

**COMPETITION
UNIFORM**

Athletes must
wear:

- in Gi
competitions: a Brazilian jiu-jitsu kimono that can only be all white or all
royal blue or all black;

- in No-Gi
competitions: shorts and a rashguard which can be of any colour.

Thanks to the
Federal Sponsors ADIDAS and KANO KIMONOS.

**POINTS FOR
ACADEMY/TEAM RANKINGS**

The Rankings
of the Academies/Teams (one in the Gi tournament and one in the No-Gi
tournament) are prepared on the basis of the results of the athletes in their
weight category and in the Openweight, assigning the following points:

• in the Black
Belts: 125 points for the 1st classified athlete, 50 points for the 2nd
classified athlete, 25 points for the 3rd classified athletes (+ 15 points for
each match fought and won + 5 points for each finalisation);

• in all other
Belts: 25 points to the 1st classified athlete, 10 points to the 2nd classified
athlete, 5 points to the 3rd classified athletes (+ 3 points for each match
fought and won and + 1 point for each finalisation);

• in the Kid 1
age group (4-5 years of age): 3 points to all participating athletes.

If an athlete
is the only one registered in a weight category, he does not earn points.

Sports club
managers must register their Academies/Teams on smoothcomp – [https://support.smoothcomp.com/article/192-add-academy-add-affiliation](https://support.smoothcomp.com/article/192-add-academy-add-affiliation) –
and check that their athletes on smoothcomp have correctly entered the
Academy/Team to which they belong.
