# ADCC UK Junior & Youths British Open 2022

**Description:** This year's ADCC British Championships is being held at the prestigious Arnold's Sports Festival weekend at the NEC in Birmingham. Every competitor fee includes free entry (worth (£27.99) to the World's largest Health, Fitness and Multi Sport Festival. In between your matches you can watch other incredible events, meet your heroes or pick up some great freebies from contacts in the industry who will be representing there.

The cheaper Arnold Festival day pass says 11am entry but we will be sending a parent/escort link to those registered for earlier access from weigh ins etc.

As an official ADCC tournament we follow ADCC World Federation Rules.

This is an Open Championships and is therefore open to all nationalities.

Where Under 18's have the choice of beginners or intermediate divisions athletes will still compete under beginners rules.

Official ADCC World Federation Junior age categories are:

Boys & Girls 7yrs-10yrs, 11yrs-14yrs, 15yrs-17yrs

In order to give children the fairest possible matches we will be putting on the following divisions, which may be merged if necessary, keeping fairness and safety in matching as highest priority:

Boys 7yrs-8yrs: -24kg, -28kg, -32kg, -36kg, -40kg, +40kg

Boys 9yrs-10yrs: -28kg, -32kg, -36kg, -40kg, +40kg

Boys 11yrs-12yrs: -36kg, -40kg, -45kg, -50kg, -55kg, +55kg

Boys 13yrs-14yrs: -36kg, -40kg, -45kg, -50kg, -55kg, +55kg

Boys 15yrs-17yrs: -50kg, -55kg, -60kg, -65Kg, -70kg, -75kg, -80kg, +80kg

Girls 7yrs-8yrs: -24kg, -28kg, -32kg, -36kg, -40kg, +40kg

Girls 9yrs-10yrs: -28kg, -32kg, -36kg, -40kg, +40kg

Girls 11yrs-12yrs: -36kg, -40kg, -45kg, -50kg, +50kg

Girls 13yrs-14yrs: -40kg, -45kg, -50kg, -55kg, +55kg

Girls 15yrs-17yrs: -45kg, -50kg, -55kg, -60kg, +60kg

*Which division should you enter?*

Beginner: Less than 2yrs training in BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo etc + No Professional MMA fights

Intermediate: 2yrs-4yrs training & no major/top level medals in Grappling, Wrestling, Sambo etc or competed in any professional MMA fights

**Which Age Group should you enter?**

Enter the age group that you will be ON THE DAY of the tournament

Athletes are only required to weigh once prior to competing. There is a 0.0 weight allowance at the scale.
