The format of the event is designed to allow grapplers to showcase their skills without any hindrances. The distinguishing factor of this event is the emphasis on submission-only matches, which means that athletes must display their technical prowess to secure a tap-out victory without the use of jumping guard or butt-scooting.

The Apex Grappling Series is providing a platform for both established names and rising stars to leave their mark on the grappling scene.
