All competitors are required to have current NZBJJF membership to compete in all NZBJJF nation wide events. In order to compete the online registration process, competitors must authenticate using their NZBJJF membership https://nzbjjf.smoothcomp.com/en/federation/109/membership. The NZBJJF will calculates competitor date of births against the the 31-12-2021 (or current year minus year of birth) . So, a competitor born on the 12-09-2008 will therefore compete in the 13 Year Old age group. Please check https://ibjjf.com/rules/

Weight Selection
Weights in the drop down box are represented as net with the appropriate Gi or No Gi allowance included in brackets e.g. the 79kg (82.3kg) Gi weight category means a net weight under 79kg and a combined gross weight (including Gi) of under 82.3kg.
The day after entries close is when all competitors should check if their entry is correct and if they have other competitors in their division. On this they competitors can make changes to their entry or request refund by canceling their registration on the smoothcomp system. Notice that after this day, entries are non-refundable.
If you would like to cancel your registration you have till the last day of registration to request a 90% refund. After the registration is closed, you can still request partial refund during checking day. After that the registration fee is non-refundable.

Avoid disappointment and frustration on the day
Any athlete that weigh in over their registered weight division will be disqualified immediately.
There will be changing of divisions for children, juveniles and adults on the day or after the brackets goes live and NO refunds will be given.
