📌 REGISTRATION & RULES

• Age is determined by birth year.

• Each athlete may register in both GI and NO‑GI, but only in one weight and one age category.

• Each registration (GI or NO‑GI) requires a separate fee.

• Categories with fewer than two athletes will be combined with the next category until the minimum of two participants is met.

• Organizers reserve the right to reassign athletes deemed too advanced to beginner categories.

• Beginner level criteria:

• Adults (18+) with <2 years of grappling/BJJ/judo/sambo/wrestling experience.

• Children with <15 official Smoothcomp wins.

• Excluded: athletes with national titles, colored BJJ belts, adults with ≥2 years of experience, or children with ≥15 wins.

• Misclassified athletes will be moved or disqualified.

• Reports of rule violations must be submitted before weigh‑in or tournament day—same‑day complaints will not be accepted.

📝 REGISTRATION FEES & DEADLINES

• Early registration (February 06 – March 09, 2026):

All categories – $30 (₸16,000)

• Standard registration (March 10 – April 09, 2026, 23:55):

All categories – $40 (₸21,000)

⚠️ If tournament registration (total or per category) exceeds capacity (1,500 participants), it may close early.

Payment is non‑refundable after registration closes.

Each GI and NO‑GI entry is paid separately.

1. Register at www.samurai.smoothcomp.com

2. In the Kaspi Gold app:

• Go to Payments → SAMURAI PROMOTION 

• Pay the registration fee

• Send payment receipt via WhatsApp to +7 747 380 3760, including athlete’s details

• International participants may pay in cash on weigh‑in day—but registration on the site and screenshot submission are required first.

• Athlete lists are confirmed on the website within 2–3 business days after receipt of receipt.

🏆 COMPETITION FORMAT

• Boys/Girls KIDS 1–4 in Beginner & Pre‑Intermediate divisions compete in a festival format (3–4 athletes). Losers in semis receive two bronze medals.

• All other categories use a full elimination bracket with two bronze medals.

⏰ IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Athletes must remain in the warm‑up area. Failing to appear on their match when called results in disqualification after 2 minutes.

• First aid will be provided; further medical treatment is the responsibility of the athlete or their guardians.

• Negative social media behavior that damages the reputation of SAMURAI OPEN or sponsors will result in disqualification.

• Organizers reserve the right to deny participation at their discretion.
