Including the kids!!**Welcome to World Series of United Kingdom Competition, This will be on 27/05/2023 and starts at 9am and will be finish between 16:00 - 17:00 max.The tournament is being held at the University of East London** **The World Series Brazilian Jiu jitsu tournament follows the IBJJF tournaments format, rules and guideline. We recommend all competitors and coaches to be familiar with the IBJJF rules book. All we ask is that all competitors check in when they arrive.** **CHANGES TO ENTRY** You must make any necessary changes yourself by logging into your smoothcomp account. You have access to change your entry up until midnight on 24/05/2023 **CHECK DAY** Please check your entry before registration closes to make sure all the following are correct: Academy Name - cannot be changed on the day Weight category - you must make weight on the day, or you cannot fight (no tolerance) Age category - check you are in the correct place - been promoted? please update your entry Any changes must be made by yourself by logging into your Smoothcomp account before midnight on 24/05/2023 **WEIGH INS**- We will be using clever scales linked to the smoothcomp app. Please check your weight before registration closes and make sure you are in the right category; it is your responsibility to make weight and you will be automatically DQ by the system if you do not make the weight. There is nothing we can do to overwrite the system. Please respect the rules! We will send everyone a reminder on the last day to make changes. After this day registration will be closed and no requests to add competitors will be accepted and emails will be ignored. Weigh in will be with your GI, if you have signed up to Gi and no Gi you only have to weigh in once. **ARRIVAL TIME** You only have to be at the event 1 hour before your fight to sign in, warm up and be ready to be weighed in. You don't have to be there all day; however, you are welcome to arrive early and stay as long as you would like. There will be between 6 and 8 scales working so no queues. **FIGHT TIMES** We will only know fight times once registration has closed and brackets have been created. We estimate to have this information around 48 hours the competition. When registration closes, we will not be able to add any competitors. Please do not insist. **MERGES** We will be looking at the competitor list on 25/05/2023 and will start to make any necessary merges. Ideally there should be at least 4 in a category in case someone does not show up, so fights can still go ahead. For kids only, if you sign up for Gi and NoGi and you want to fight in extra brackets then you can email us with your request and you will need to go up on age weight and skill level to qualify. Ex: if signed up to Boys - White belt - 10yrs - 42Kgs and you would like to fight an extra bracket you will need to go up on all the above: Boy - Grey belt - 12yrs - 44Kgs, you can do that but email us to confirm. **Refunds** If you can’t make the event and let us know by 01/05/2023 we shall issue you a full refund. After this date a refund will be refused however, we will issue a voucher for the next event in September. Coach Passes Email us for coach passes as required. We like to accommodate all academies; however, we have to keep spaces clear for the next fights. Only coaches with passes will be allowed in the Mat area with an adult, One coach on each side. Kids will be allowed one parent and one coach only. **WINNERS** There be absolute divisions, under 80.3kg and over 80.3kg. Free onsite car parking! 2 professional photographers/video on site taking photos of each fighter on the mat. Photos will be published around 48 hours after the competition. Feel free to download the photos. We will have a surprise special guest spectator (a ufc former champion) from America! He will be doing a photo session, so you can get a photo with him! Early bird from 15/11/22 to 21/04/23 £70 if you sign for GI and want to do NOGI also, you will pay only £20 for 2nd registration. Normal price 21/04/23 to 18/05/23 £120 if you sign up for GI and NOGI you will get 50% off 2nd registration Late price 18/05/23 to 22/05/23 £150 each division without any discount if you sign for an extra division Kids that want to enter in an extra bracket please email us separately after registering We contract the best referees for peace of mind We have over 30 staff members available to help you get through the day perfectly, we want you to have the best time ever and we know queues are very stressful, so we have many staff doing their best to avoid any type of stress.
