**Description:** **Welcome to the Combat Club Classic: Winter Open BJJ Tournament**

The Winter Open will feature both Gi and NO-GI divisions for kids and adults on January 14, 2023. The Tournament will be hosted by Combat Club based out of Jacksonville, NC and the event will take place at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. All skill levels and ages are welcome. Our goal  as the host of this tournament is to bring you, all others from around North Carolina, and all others from around the United States a safe, smooth, fun, and family oriented tournament. We Strive to run the smoothest, time efficient tournament so you can enjoy the rest of your weekend. Are you staying the weekend or spending some extra time in New Bern tournament weekend? New Bern is an awesome little river front town. It is actually the 2nd oldest town in North Carolina. Downtown features shopping, dining and eating, live music, and the waterfront. Roam the streets where Blackbeard the pirate called home, Check out the birthplace of Pepsi or the Tryon Palace and compete at the Combat Club Classic Winter Open!

**When**: Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 8:30 a.m

**Official Schedule:**

Doors Will open at 8:15 followed by checking in, weighing in and tournament kick off.

Please be ready to check in at 8:15 a.m Saturday morning. Matches will begin approximately 8:30 am. Make sure you are in the proper attire and ready to start.

**Registration:**

**Early Registration**: Begins September 5, 2022 at Midnight

**Normal Registration**: Begins October 16, 2022 at Midnight

**Late Registration**: Begins January 5, 2023 at 6:00 PM**Last day to register is January 10, 2023 by 7:00 P.M

Last Chance to Edit Registration: January 10, 2023 7:00 P.M

Last Chance to Cancel: January 10, 2023 10:00 A.M (Cancellations will result in a credit to a future event).

**Discounts**: Discounts for doing add on divisions will be show up in the registration for $45.

**Rules**: Adults and Kids divisions are expected to review the rules prior to attending the event.

**Coaching:**

Coaches will have access to our coaching lane split in the center of the Mats. Please ensure you check in at the registration table to receive a Band.

**Weigh-Ins:**

All Weigh-ins will be done prior to matches, please  check in 30 minutes prior to your match time. ENSURE YOU REGISTER FOR THE CORRECT WEIGHT DIVISION. YOU WILL NOT BE REBRACKETED at the event. Failing weigh-in for your weight division will result in disqualification.  In the event you do not have a match you will be awarded for your division per IBJJF protocol.

**Awards:**

Medals and Awards will be continuous throughout the event. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place will be awarded Combat Club Classic Gladiator Medals.
