The Cyprus Spring Jiu-Jitsu Open returns on April 4th, 2026, bringing together athletes from Cyprus and abroad for a full day of high-level Gi and No-Gi competition.

Whether you are stepping onto the mats for your first tournament or chasing the top spot on the podium, this event is designed to deliver a professional experience, strong matchups, and a great competition atmosphere.

Competition Information

1. Divisions

The event is open to:

Kids & Teens

Adults

Masters

Athletes will be divided by age, weight, and belt level, following IBJJF standards.

2. Match Format

Divisions will run in a single elimination bracket format.

If a division has only two competitors, the organizer may apply a best-of-three format.

3. Ruleset

✅ All matches will follow official IBJJF rules exactly, as published by the IBJJF.

This includes: scoring, advantages, legal techniques, penalties, match duration, and uniform requirements for Gi and No-Gi.

4. Weigh-In

Weigh-ins will take place at the venue throughout the event. Athletes must arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before their first match.

Weigh-in is done with the appropriate uniform according to the discipline (gi and no gi)

+500g allowance applies only for athletes up to 11 years old

5. Schedule

🕘 Doors Open: 08:30

🏁 Competition Starts: 10:00

6. Awards

🏅 Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division.

Important Notes

⚠️ If there are not enough athletes in a division, the organizer reserves the right to combine divisions (age/weight/belt) when needed.

The organizer also reserves the right to close registrations early if maximum capacity is reached.

Kids: Normal registration €40 Late registration €50

Adults & Masters: €50 Late registration €60

Get €20 if registered in both disciplines.
