# DGL Deutsche Meisterschaft Kids und Teens + Queen of the Mat

> Competition in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, Germany | November 08, 2026

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** To ensure the smoothest possible running of the DGL Championships, we provide the following information for all participants and coaches and ask for strict compliance.

**Only athletes from martial arts schools based in Germany can compete!**

Athletes must weigh in on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
The scales close for all divisions no later than 12:00 p.m.!
We will have three scales and weigh-in stations open on both days: Beginner, Intermediate, and Professionals. Every athlete must be weighed in at least 15 minutes before their division starts. Otherwise, the athlete will be disqualified.

Each team receives free entry for two coaches. No exceptions will be made. Coaches will receive a wristband, which must be worn visibly throughout the entire day. Coaches and fighters should check in together at the entrance.
Spectators traveling with the teams may enter the hall together with the teams if they pay the entrance fee directly. Only two coaches per team and the competitors receive free entry to the hall. Parents, friends, or additional accompanying persons must pay admission upon entry.

We organize all our events through Smoothcomp and ask all coaches and fighters to pay close attention to the times in the “Schedule.” Once the brackets have been created, the “Brackets & Schedule” section clearly shows on which mat each athlete will compete and at what time. The schedule is constantly updated in real time, so times may change. Please take this into account.

When the mat schedule shows the “Go to Bullpen” symbol next to the match, the fighters must be ready to compete in the warm-up area. Each fighter will only be called once for their match. If the fighter does not appear on the mat within 1 minute after being called, they will be disqualified and the opponent will be declared the winner.

The schedule and brackets will be published on Friday no later than 8:00 p.m.

Every participant can follow the status of their division on Smoothcomp.
After registration closes, we will move all individual participants who have no opponent in their division either one age division OR one weight division in order to guarantee every participant at least one match.

For participants where this is not possible, the fighter will receive the gold medal in that division without a match. To do so, the fighter must be present and must be weighed in by no later than 12:00 p.m. on the event day and be within their weight limit. At the first award ceremony of the day after 12:00 p.m., these fighters will be called to the podium and should be ready in sportswear to receive their gold medal.

Girls and boys under the age of 14 may be merged.

Mount: 3 points

Side control: 2 points

Takedown: 1 point

Points for positions are only awarded in ascending order.

Fight Time: 5 minutes

After a throw, the situation must be controlled for 3 seconds. This can take place in guard, half guard, butterfly guard, etc. The thrower must hold the top position. A throw must always be clearly visible and starts when both competitors are standing.

Submission attempts from standing, such as jumping arm locks, do not count as throws. Every technique that leads to points must be controlled for 3 seconds. In mount, both knees must be on the ground and the feet must be free. In back mount, both legs must be hooked in, or a body triangle must control the opponent.

The fighter must always engage in the fight, may not fight passively, and may not avoid the fight. For example, if a fighter scores one point for a throw, they must continue the fight on the ground. If they avoid the fight by standing up and breaking body contact, this will be punished with a penalty point after the second warning.

By referee decision, in case of a tie after overtime or if the referee believes that one fighter can no longer defend themselves
