# Double Impact: Tag Team Jiu-Jitsu (Presented By: Turtle Guard Tournaments)

**Description:** Prepare yourself a day of nonstop TAG TEAM competition!  Double Impact Tag Team Jiu-jitsu is a brand new creation, and the first of its kind here in Texas!

Double Impact will be a gi-only tournament.  The matches will be submission only, with specific paths to victory, and an overtime round in the event of a tie.  There will be both youth and adult divisions, with specific rules on the pairing of teammates.  This tournament will be single elimination.

But most importantly, you will be able to pair up with a teammate of your choosing, and compete together versus another team!  While two competitors are going at it, your teammates will be in your corners, ready to be tagged in at any time!  So if you're getting tired, tag your teammate!  Is your opponent just a little bit too tough?  Tag your teammate!  Are you caught in a triangle choke, and moments away from tapping out?  Drag your opponent to your corner, reach out your foot, and TAG YOUR TEAMMATE!

Our first ever Double Impact event will take place at the Corpus Christi FitFest, hosted by Z95, taking place at the American Bank Center exhibit hall!  It's going to be an amazing day of competition, packed right in the middle of several other sporting events.

Registration will be only $80 per team, until Jan. 14th.  Afterwards, registration will go up to $100 per team.  Only one registration per team!

So start figuring out now, who you want to pair up with.  Who would you like to be your tag team partner??  And remember, there are no rules against having a teammate from another gym.  If you're having trouble figuring out a tag team partner with anyone there in your own gym, and your friends with someone who trains at another, don't be afraid to team up! 

And start thinking about what you want your team to be called!  Every great tag team has a team name!  So train hard, find your tag team partner, think of an awesome team name, and make sure to register asap!
