General Rules

1.Match Duration:

•4minutes

2.Uniform:

•Competitors must wear rash guards

( athletic moisture wick type clothes are acceptable).

•Sambo shoes are allowed.•Wrestling shoes and socks are not allowed.•Noloose fit clothing,jewelry,or other accessories.

3.Divisions:

If a competitor has no available match in their registered category, we will make every effort to place them in the closest appropriate bracket based on age, weight, andexperience.

Pee Wee (7-9 years old)

Juniors (11-13 years old)

Novice (Under 6 Months Experience)

Beginner (1 - 2 years Experience)

Advanced (3+ Years Experience)

4.Legal Techniques:

•Throws, takedowns, joint locks (armbars, kimuras, etc.), chokes, and sweeps.

5.Illegal Techniques:

•Toe holds, heel hooks,leg locks, twisting locks, slamming, striking, small joint manipulation, or spine attacks (other than chokes).

•No intentional stalling (passivity).

•All Leg Locks•Jumping into guard

Scoring System

Points are awarded for controlled execution of techniques:

Takedowns/Throws:

•4 points for takedowns where the opponent’s feet leave the mat, landing directly on their back.•2 points for takedowns where the opponent lands on their side.•1 point for takedowns where the opponent lands on their hip, buttocks, waist, shoulder, belly, or chest.

Sweeps and Guard Exchanges:

•2 points for a sweep from guard that results in a controlled top position for at least 3 seconds.•Double Guard Scenario:oIf both competitors pull guard simultaneously, the first to establish a controlled top position for at least 3 seconds will be awarded 2 points.

Positional Control:

•3 points for achieving mount or back control with hooks.•2 points for side control or knee-on-belly.

Guard Pass:

•3 points for passing the guard into a dominant position.

Guard Pull:

•To pull guardcompetitormustbe in contactwithopponent.

Victory Conditions

1.Submission:oA competitor wins immediately if their opponent taps out or verbally submits.2.Points:oThe competitor with the most points at the end of regulation wins.3.Referee Decision:oIf no points are scored, the referee will declare a winner based on aggression, control, and attempt to finish the match.

Match Conduct

•Passivity Warnings:oReferee may issue warnings for stalling or fleeing the mat.oAfter 3 warnings, the opponent is awarded 1 point.•Out of Bounds:oAction is paused if competitors leave the mat.oRestart in the center in the same position or standing.•Inactivity:oIn the case where twostandingcompetitors have notadvancedin an exchangefora prolonged amount of timebothcompetitors will get a warning.oIn the case where two grounded competitors have not advanced in an exchangefor a prolonged amount of time both competitors will get a warningand be reset into a neutral standing position.•Sportsmanship:oDisrespectful behavior toward officials or opponents will result in disqualification.

Choke-Specific Rules

•All chokes are allowed.•ALL Leg Locks Prohibited: Straight ankle lock,Knee Bar,Toe holds,Heel hooks, and Twisting locks.•Safety Guidelines:oAll chokes must be applied in a controlled manner. Competitors must release the hold immediately if the opponent submitsthrough physically tapping the opponent, tapping the floor,verbally yelling tap,or the referee intervenes.

Safety and Oversight

•Referee Oversight:oReferees have the authority to stop a match if a competitor is in danger.oCoaches may signal for a match to be stopped if safety is a concern.•Medical Staff:oCertified medical personnel will be present to assist with any injuries.
