# Genkai Grapple Club: Volume Two

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** Registration open to Kids/Teens ages 6-17 & Adults 18 and over. Athletes can choose the option of a GI or NOGI match.

**SUPERFIGHT MATCHES:**All superfight matches are carefully selected by experience level, weight, and skill to ensure competitive and exciting bouts for both participants and spectators.

**2 ADULT ABSOLUTE DIVISION MATCHES**// (1) Men's Absolute Division & (1) Women's Absolute Division. Our Absolute Division is a cash prize bracket fueled directly by athlete entries. Each registration adds to the prize pool, so the more competitors who step up, the bigger the reward for the champion!

**Submission Only Match Times:**

Kids (6-9) Superfights 3 Minutes.

KIDS (10-13) Superfights 4 Minutes

Teens (14-17) Superfights 4 Minutes.

Adult (18+) Superfights & Absolutes 5 Minutes.

**Overtime Minute:**If competitors fail to achieve a submission in the allotted time frame for their match, they will be given 1 Minute of Overtime to win by points. If points are not achieved by the end of the Overtime Minute, it will go to Refs/Judges Decision.

**Judges Decision Criteria:**

- Submission Threat. - Positional Dominance. - Aggression.

**Point System:**Takedown (2 POINTS) Sweeps (2 POINTS) Knee On Belly (2 POINTS) Guard Pass (3 POINTS) Backtake w/ Hooks (4 POINTS) Mount (4 POINTS)

Each position should be held for 4 seconds before being awarded points.

**Medals & Prizes:**

Winners will receive a Gold Genkai Grapple Club Medal & All Competing Athletes will receive a swag bag filled with items from our sponsors!

Absolute winners will win a Cash Prize (Based off sign up pool), a Winners Belt, and exclusive swag bag perks from our sponsors!

**Spectator Fees:**

Kids 6-17 $10.00

Adults 18+ $20.00

Kids 5&under FREE

Tickets Sold At The Door.

A Portion of our proceeds for this event will be dedicated toward furthering our mission with Genkai Impact and supporting our community. Genkai Impact is a community outreach program we are building to provide kids and teens with fully funded access to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mental Health Resources.
