# Grapple Gate Invitational

**Description:** ATHLETE PAYOUT:

Athletes are expected to register, which gives a buy-in. Registration fees are placed in a winners pot.

-The Max payout for 8-man  tournament is $800- First Place. 

-The Max Payout for 16-man Bracket is $1000- First Place, $300- Second Place, $150- Double Third Placers. 

In addition each event will have products prizes for winning athletes with MK-Ultra (Performance of the night), Tower 7 (Best Takedown of the night), and 5G- Tap out (Fastest Submission of the night).

Special Feature matches do not pay or get a pay out.  However, still MK-Ultra, Tower 7, and 5G-Tap out are still obtainable for special feature matches. 

BRACKETS AND SCHEDULE:

Friday Afternoon before the tournament, event brackets, and a schedule will be released. We ask that you be present in the venue at least 60 minutes before the event starts.

WEIGH-INS:

There is a 1 LBS allowance. Weigh-ins begin at 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM the day before the tournament. There will also be a day of weigh-ins allowed at 12:00PM. Athletes may wear whatever appropriate attire they choose for weigh-ins. You are not required to weigh in with you Gi. If athlete(s) cannot make weight, they will be disqualified, forfeiting their chance at prize money and registration fee. We do this to ensure the integrity of the brackets. 

RULES:

Grapple Gate Invitational runs a single-elimination format for adult pro divisions. For teen Grapple Gate Invitational divisions run in a double-elimination with an additional bracket for 3rd place. Grapple Gate Invitational utilizes an ADCC ruleset with the EBI Overtime ruleset.

MATCH LENGTH:

Adult Regulation time: 8 Min Match.

Teen Regulation time: 5 min matches at all skill levels.

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you must cancel your registration, a full event credit will be provided automatically via smoothcomp before the allotted time. The cancellation deadline is two weeks prior, on Wednesday 3 PM before the event. After the deadline, all registrations are considered final, with no event credit available.
