**FORMAT:**Insurgent Grappling tournaments are Submission only- Single elimination with 1st and 2nd place winners (see payout on our [rules page](https://insurgent.fitness/grappling-rules)). There will be one (1) Sudden Death/Overtime match, if there is a draw from any standard round, including finals. All adult standard matches are 10 minutes in length; youth standard matches are 6 minutes in length.

**RULES, GUIDELINES, and PAYOUT:**Rules coverage, with a brief Q&A, will start at 8 AM on the day of event. Insurgent Grappling strongly encourages all athletes and coaches to attend the rules coverage meeting, but it is not required. **WEIGH-INS:**Athletes are required to weigh-in a minimum of 60 minutes prior to the start of their first match. Weigh-ins will be on the day of event- NO EXCEPTIONS. Athletes do not have to weigh-in with a gi (if this is a gi event). If this is a two day event, athletes must weigh-in both days, unless athletes are competing in the Absolute division on the second day. Any athlete who does not make weight for their registered division will be disqualified, removed from the bracket, and will not receive a refund.

**DIVISIONS and MERGERS:**All divisions are capped at 8 athletes. After the change deadline has passed, athletes who do not have anyone in their division group may be merged with another division. All athletes who remain solo in their division, after brackets are released, unfortunately means there was no default mergers available to the athlete(s)- therefore there are no matches available. Any solo athletes will receive a full refund.

**REFUND POLICY:**We issue refunds for an event registration until the early bird date. From the early bird date to the change deadline, only full coupon credits will be issued for future events. After the change deadline, there will be no refunds or future credits issued. Refunds and Credits can be obtained by logging into your account and cancelling your event registration. Competitors who do not have a bracket or a competitors opponent "no shows" on the day of event will receive a full coupon credit. The "no show" credit only applies if you have no matches for the day.

**BRACKETS and SCHEDULE:**Within 24-48 hours prior to the tournament, event brackets and schedule will be released. Athletes, coaches, and spectators will be able to locate both (brackets and schedule) on this event page vie clicking the "Brackets & Schedule" tab at the top of the page. The mat coordinator will call out athletes who are up next after the current match. Please be at the mat on time, if an athlete does not show up on time will be disqualified from the event. We ask that athletes make sure to be present in the venue at least 60 minutes prior their division start time. Matches may go faster than currently scheduled.
