**Description:** Icon Jiu Jitsu is proud to present our first ever event March 9th, at the Crowne Plaza Moncton Downtown Hotel. The event will be a one day, double elimination, Gi tournament. We are very excited to announce we will be offering cash prizes for our male and female absolute champions. The event will be run and overseen by Canada’s most decorated Gi competitor Jake Mackenzie. At Icon Jiu Jitsu, we hold ourselves to the highest standard and  we are looking forward to giving the Atlantic Canadian grappling community the most well run and professional event possible.

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION:

Adult Spectators-10.00$ cash

Youth Spectators-Free (13 and under)

Coaches and BlackBelts- Free

WEIGH-INS STARTYOUTH DIVISIONS: 8:00AM to 9:30 AM

ADULT DIVISIONS: 9:30 to 11:00 AM

RULES MEETING: 9:30 AM

KIDS MATCH START TIME: 10:00 AM

All weigh ins will be on the day of event, March 9th. Competitors are expected to be checked-in, weighed-in, warmed up and ready to compete 1 hour prior to their scheduled division. All weigh ins are without the gi (minimum of shirt and shorts, there is no removing your top/bottoms to weigh in).It is the athlete’s responsibility to be on weight and make sure they are registered in the correct weight division, rank, and team on the competitor list. In the occurrence that an athlete cannot make weight, he/she should contact us immediately before the registration MODIFICATION/CORRECTION deadline (the Wednesday before the event). On the day of the tournament, we will no longer accept registration corrections, athletes who fail to make weight will be disqualified with no refund.

ALL adult divisions will be DOUBLE-ELIMINATION. Kids divisions will be DOUBLE-ELIMINATION.

CASH PRIZES FOR ABSOLUTE WINNERS

Icon Jiu Jitsu is very happy to announce we will be offering cash prizes for our adult male and female competitors. Competitors must be registered and compete in their respective divisions to be eligible to compete the absolute.

The cash prize break down is as follows

8-15 competitors in bracket $250

16-31 competitors in bracket $500

32+ competitors in bracket $750
