# JGL Season 1 2025

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** The JGL is here to provide our young competitors with frequent and regular competitions, helping to get them the experience necessary to be competitive in the BJJ tournament environments. A one-time registration will sign each competitor up for 4 NoGi events spread out over a 2 month time period. These events consist of 3 "Regular Season" events where each competitor will get a single match, which can help highlight areas to improve for the coaches. They would ample opportunity to train these areas before their next "Regular Season" event. The final event will be setup as a typical single-elimination tournament.

April 12, 2025 - Regular Season event (weigh in day)

This will be the only weigh in day for the season. Weigh Ins will begin at 7:30am. All competitors will be given a single match. It is recommended that video be taken to assist with coaching efforts.

April 26, 2025 - Regular Season Event

Each competitor will be given a single match.

May 10, 2025 - Regular Season Event

Each competitor will be given a single match.

May 17, 2025 - Single-Elimination Tournament

This is where the training and coaching comes together. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes.

**Early Bird Registration - $110**

Open until March 14, 2025

**Standard Registration - $130**

Open until April 2, 2025

**Late Registration - $150**

Open between April 2 - 10 (no entries after April 10)

Match Length - 4 minutes

Ways to win - By submission, disqualification, or points.

Submissions are based upon the physical tap, verbal "TAP", or yelling during a submission attempt. Our Referees may also call a submission stoppage if the defending competitor isn't making an attempt to escape.
