# Kids Pan Ams Camp 2019 > Camp in San Clemente, California, United States | February 16, 2019 ## Overview **Event Type:** Camp **Description:** For the second time, Gracie Barra San Clemente will be opening its door to host the youth pan ams camp to provide support for our young athletes as they get ready to compete in one of the most prestigious youth events there is, the IBJJF Pan Am Kids that will be held at the Long Beach Pyramid on Sunday 2/17/19. The Camp will be held 2/15/19 Friday 4:30-7pm and 2/16/19 Saturday 11:30am-2pm. We will be going over competition strategies, drills, coaching strategies as well as going over the IBJJF rules. The camp will be lead by Professor Felipe Guedes along guest coaches and Professors. We want to give our Youth athletes the same preparation as we give our adults to start teaching them the discipline and determination to earn such championship titles. There's a lot of preparation that goes into getting ready for championships this big, and although nothing can replace the work done at their respective home school, these 2 days together brings the athletes closer to each other, to the official coaches and definitely raise the self confidence of each other. There's truly something special about having 50 plus athletes on the mats together during these camps, all with the same goal of going home with the gold medal!! Over the years we have seen a major improvement in both individual and team results with the camp implementation.
