## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** Legacy is proud to host our very first No-Gi, Submission-Only Grappling Competition, where the sole path to victory is submission.

Each division will crown one winner under EBI overtime rules.

Winners of each division will receive medals, while champions of the male and female absolute divisions will be awarded a belt. Registrations will close once the maximum number of participants is reached.

£35 for Competitors  |  £5 for Spectators

Competition Rules:

• Match Durations:

• White Belts: 5 minutes

• Colored Belts: 6 minutes

• Victory Condition: Submission-only (no points, advantages, or interruptions).

• In Case of No Submission: EBI overtime rules will determine the winner.

• Prohibited Moves:

• White Belts: Only straight ankle locks are legal for leg attacks.

• Illegal for all belts: Heel hooks, cranks, twisters, scissor takedowns, can openers.

• Stalling Penalty: Warnings will be issued by referees.

• No Strikes or Slams Allowed.

EBI Overtime Rules:

• Overtime Rounds: 1 to 3 rounds.

• Starting Position Options (for offense):

• Back Control: Seatbelt grip required; defense allowed specific pull-up grips only.

• Armbar (Spider Web): Proper positioning with specified grip options for defense.

• Escape and Submission Timers:

• Fastest submission wins if both competitors achieve submissions.

• If only one achieves a submission, they win the match.

• Continue escaping until the referee confirms.

• Coin toss determines offensive/defensive starting roles.

Prizes:

• Medals will be given to bracket winners only

• Best Male Grappler of Each Division

• Best Female Grappler of Each Division

Absolute Winners Belt:

• Male Absolute Division Winner

• Female Absolute Division Winner

In our absolute winners division, you will be the reigning champion of the Legacy Submission Series, and you will have the opportunity to defend your title in the next event.

Weigh-Ins:

Weigh-ins will take place on the day of the event at the competition venue. Competitors must weigh in at least 60 minutes before their division begins.

Hygiene Rules:

• Nails (fingers and toes) must be trimmed short.

• Long hair must be tied up.

• Skin conditions will be evaluated by medical staff, whose decisions are final.

Uniform Requirements:

• Approved attire: Compression shorts, leggings, or board shorts (no pockets). Spats may be worn under shorts.

• Prohibited: Loose shirts, metal or plastic attachments, jewellery, genital protectors, headwear, or any hard material.

Divisions & Skill Levels:

• White Belt

• Blue Belt

• Purple Belt

• Brown Belt

• Black Belt

Note: Divisions with insufficient competitors may be merged into the next higher skill or weight category.
