**Description:** Masters BJJ Finnish Open competition 2026 takes place at Hämeenlinna Loimua Areena on Saturday 21st of March 2026.

Masters Finnish Open is open for "Master 2+" competitors**who was born 1990 or earlier.**

The competition uses a new Double Elimination match format, which ensures that all competitors have at least two matches (no brackets below 3 competitors). Due to the new competition format, the organizing committee is assessing the feasibility of including open weight category matches in the schedule.

All competitors must have [FBJJF Competitor license](https://fbjjf.smoothcomp.com/en/federation/300/membership) for year 2026.

Because of ongoing military activities in Ukraine the academies from Russia and Belarus and athletes with permanent residence in Russia or Belarus will no longer participate in the BJJ Finnish Open 2026, NoGi Finnish Open 2026, Masters BJJ Finnish Open 2026, Masters NoGi Finnish Open 2026 competitions. FBJJF’s Finnish Open 2026 competitions are welcoming all academies and athletes having permanent residency (or being registered) in other countries.
