Mat Beast Team Championships showcases SoCal’s most exciting Team Based submission-only Jiu-Jitsu: an 8-team, Quintet-style bracket streamed live with professional commentary. Expect one match at a time, comfortable seating, food-and-merch vendors, and a true show atmosphere—far from the usual crowded gym setup. The champion squad takes home the Mat Beast Trophy and Team Title.

Our goal is to host four team-based tournaments each year, with future events featuring a dedicated purple/brown belt bracket. We have big plans for Mat Beast and can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.

All competitors must weigh in from 11:00-1:00pm

No refunds. Registration closes September 15 at 11:59 PM.

Special Match Rules

-Rules are the same as team matches, except purple belt+ are allowed all leg locks

-If no submission is achieved during regulation, the match will be decided with three rounds of EBI Overtime.
