# MUTEKI CHALLENGE - Youth Divisions

**Description:** **MUTEKI CHALLENGE -YOUTH DIVISIONS- March 7th and March 8th**

**DAY 1: MUTEKI NO-GI CHALLENGE - SATURDAY, MARCH 7TH**

This challenge will require each athlete to compete in a No-Gi uniform. Matches will be timed specifically for each division and will be in a round-robin format with a point system similar to the IBJJF ruleset. No advantages will be awarded; only submissions and points will be applied. In the case of a tie, judge discretion will occur based on submission attacks, mat control and aggression.   Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded on the podium.

**MUTEKI CHALLENGE INVITATIONAL (SATURDAY, MARCH 7TH - APPROX 6PM START TIME)**

Youth Kimono &amp; No-Gi Superfights will follow the Youth No-Gi Challenge. You must register in both Gi and No Gi Divisions to receive a potential invite for a Super Fight! With no fee required, each competitor will receive an invitation to accept the challenge. Using a submission-only format, each super fight will consist of three specifically timed rounds based on each division, with a one-minute break between rounds.  All rounds will be scored on a 10-point must system. Winners will receive an award, also prize money will go to the competitors with the most entertaining match.

**DAY 2:MUTEKI KIMONO CHALLENGE- SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH**

This challenge will require each athlete to compete in a kimono. Matches will be timed specifically for each division and will be in a round-robin format with a point system similar to that of the IBJJF ruleset. No advantages will be awarded; only submissions and points will be applied. In the case of a tie, judge discretion will occur based on submission attacks, mat control and aggression.   Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded on the podium.

**LOCATION:**DALLAS O'REGAN BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU, 213-118 1st Avenue W, Cochrane, Alberta T4C 2K8

**START TIMES:**The tournament will begin at 9am on Saturday and Sunday, with the Super Fights starting at 6:30pm on Saturday night.
**WEIGH-INS:**There will be a 1 lb allowance for competitors, so please ensure that they meet this requirement when placing them in a weight bracket. Competitors will weigh in with no Gi both days. If you compete on Saturday and Sunday, you only need to weigh-in on Saturday. Each competitor will weigh in approximately 20 minutes before their match to help manage crowds, but no sooner than 1 hour. There will not be early weigh-ins.

**ENTRY FEES**

Early Bird Registration - $50 for one division, $90 for 2 divisions (Dec. 28th to Jan. 11th)

Normal Registration - $60 for one division, $110 for 2 divisions (Jan. 12th to Feb. 15th)

Late Registration - $70 for one division, $130 for 2 divisions (Feb. 16th to Mar. 1st)

No more than 200 competitors will be accepted into the Muteki Youth Challenge. Registrations will not be accepted after the late registration cut-off.

**SPECTATOR FEES**

There are no entry fees for competitors and their families. We will be collecting non-perishable food donations for Humanity's Promise.
