# National MMA League Round 21 > Competition in Dundalk, Louth, Ireland | February 22, 2025 – February 23, 2025 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** National MMA League Round 21 Juniors and Seniors Event. This competition is open to all athletes, no membership or affiliation required. This competition will be held under the OFFICIAL NMMAL RULSET A Tournament format Location - Satori Bjj Unit 17 old quarry campus, Dublin 15 .Fight Kits - Red Blue or Neutral are recommended.(Team fight kits will be accepted any color once a compression top is included) Fight shorts can not have pockets & compression shorts if worn must be covered by MMA / BJJ / Shorts. 1. Athletes will be given a BLUE or RED wrist band at Weigh in.2. Coach ( 1 Coaches per team maximum ) will be given BLUE or RED. **SPECTATORS**- 18 Years €10 Entry Green Wrist Band on entry.+ 18 Years €10 Entry Green Wrist Band on entry. Novice less than 1 year (-12 months ) of training Beginner 1-3 years (12-36 months ) of training Intermediate 3-5 years of training Advanced over 5 years of training ***This is a**NOVICE EVENT**If you have fought Amateur in any discipline you will be disqualified @ weigh ins .- MMA / Wimp to Warrior / Boxing / Semi Pro or Pro Muay Thai .- No higher than the grade of Blue Belt In Brazilian jiu jitsu or Sambo. - No higher than Brown Belt in Judo or other .- If you have represented your country in wrestling judo or other disiplines at international events ( SENIOR ONLY ) .**Age and Bout Duration:** Junior A (Age 8-12 years ) 1 round of 3 minutes Youth C (Age 12-13), 1 round of 3 minutes Youth B (Age 14-15), 1 round of 4 minutes Youth A (Age 16-17), 2 round of 2 minutes Adults Novice ( 18 years+ ) 2 round of 2 minutes Weigh-ins will take place 2 hours maximum before your bracket starts. 7oz/8oz sparring MMA gloves (pro gloves not allowed) Shin pads that cover toes (with no metal clasps) Gum shields and groin guardsRash Guard / MMA or Bjj Shorts ( No t shirts / no pockets in shorts ) Fighters are expected to strike with control and with no intent for a knock out. Fighters striking with excessive contact will get one warning, if this occurs again they will be disqualified, If the Referee deems the first shot was with intent he can call the bout at this time without giving a first warning.You are not allowed to slam, take downs must be done lightly if the opponents legs go over their head line you will be disqualified - take downs must be done with caution. All Elbow Strikes.All Knee Strikes.ALL head kicks.Spinning Backfists.Knees to the Head.Knees to the body.Slamming to escape submissions.Slamming when attempting a takedown.Lifting opponents hips over your head when attempting a takedown. Any form of neck crank.Heel Hooks, Knee Bars, Toe Holds.Head butts, eye gouging, fish hooking, spinal attacks or strikes directly to joints.No Guillotines for kids, you can reverse position / use to get back up but can not finish as a submission. Teens can finish arm in / high elbow Guillotines from the ground only can not finish standing guillotine. No ground and pound for kids and teens.
