Sambo is a compilation of
the most successful and effective techniques from traditional folk martial arts
worldwide, including: - Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling - Korean Taekwondo
- Japanese Judo and Jiu-Jitsu - Kazakh Kuresi - Muay Thai - Georgian Chidaoba -
Mongolian Bokh

Over the last century, these
techniques have been adapted into a structured set of rules that maximizes an
athlete's ability to defend themselves while ensuring maximum safety during
training and competition.

conducted by FIAS Masters - 8:00 AM - Briefing for National Coaches &
Referees

participants

- 9:00 AM - Doors Open

- 9:30 AM - Kids and Cadets
(Juniors/Youth) - 11:00 AM - Kids and Cadets Awards

- 12:00 PM - Sport Sambo for
Adults

- 2:00 PM - Combat Sambo
(Adults and Juniors only)

- 3:00 PM - Adults Awards
and National Team Announcement

- 4:00 PM - Doors Close

**Schedule for November 23:**

- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM:
Coaches/Referees Master Classes conducted by FIAS Masters and Sambo Team NZ,
followed by graduations for National Levels "A, B, C"

“Seminar” is rules
introduction, ask questions and engage with Sambo officials.

“Master Class” is an in-depth
seminar followed by a test for accreditation/confidence.
