About This Event

Summer competition starts here! The Newbreed Kansas City Summer Championship hits King Louie's Sports Complex at UMKC on June 27th, bringing nonstop Gi and no-Gi action to one Kansas City's top athletic venue. Kids, teens, adults and masters' divisions available. Whether you're making your debut or chasing another title, Newbreed delivers a competition experience built for real athletes.

Earn your right to stand tall on the podium with custom medals awarded to the top three athletes in each division, symbolizing dedication and achievement. First-place winners in any advanced division will be honored with the prestigious NJJF Championship Belt, a true mark of excellence.

Jiu-Jitsu is about more than individual success; and at NEWBREED teamwork is aptly rewarded. Team points are calculated to determine the top three teams in both youth and adult categories as well as the overall champion. All seven teams receive an award banner to hang proudly in their academy. First-place teams also take home a custom NJJF trophy, a symbol of their collective excellence.

Join Our Team: Are you interested in becoming part of the NJJF crew? We are always looking for experienced referees, scorekeepers, and weigh-in/podium staff to join our events. We also offer opportunities to earn free registration by assisting with event setup.
