# Nor Cal Legacy II Gi & No-Gi

**Description:** **ATTENTION:**Day before weigh-ins will be held at Alameda Pointe Gymnasium on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 12:00-4:00 PM. If you weigh in early you do not need to weigh in on competition day. Same day weigh-ins will be open at 7:00 AM. All competitors must weigh in before their bracket starts.

**PLEASE BRING PHOTO ID IN ORDER TO STEP ON THE SCALE**

Athletes do**NOT**have to weigh in with the gi on

There is a**2 pound**weight allowance

In 2009 we launched our first tournament, the NorCal Legacy in Alameda, California. 12 years later on July 18, Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Championships have returned and are here to stay.  This is a gi & no-gi tournament for kids, teens, and adults.

THE FIRST 300 COMPETITORS TO REGISTER WILL RECEIVE A FREE SHIRT

**FORMAT:**

All matches are single elimination

All matches are IBJJF rules with no advantages. In the event of a tie, there will be a 1-minute golden score round (first to score wins). After that, it will go to ref decision.

There will be NO DOUBLE 3RD. 3RD Place will be decided with a match between the semifinal losers of each division.

ABSOLUTE DIVISION: Athletes that place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their division qualify to sign-up for the absolute division. Registration for the absolute division will be held on the same day after all weight divisions at a given belt/level are finished. There will be NO absolute divisions for kids. Absolute divisions will be held ONLY for juvenile and adult, male and female, blue, purple, brown, and black in the gi, and for intermediate and advanced divisions in no-gi.

**KIDS Match Length:**4 minutes all levels Gi & No-Gi

**JUVENILE Match Length:**5 minutes all levels Gi & No-Gi

**ADULT/MASTER Match Length:**6 min all levels Gi & No-Gi

KIDS & JUVENILE NO-GI: ALL of the following submissions are ILLEGAL for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions for kids & juveniles.

ADULT GI: IBJJF legal techniques

ADULT NO-GI: Heel hooks and Reaping are allowed for ADVANCED Divisions only. Toe holds & Kneebars are allowed for INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED DIVISIONS. Straight ankle locks are allowed for BEGINNERS.  For all divisions BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, & ADVANCED there will be no:

*SLAMMING

*PULLING BACK FINGERS OR TOES

*SQUEEZING THE WINDPIPE WITH A HAND

**ADULT:**WHITE, BLUE, PURPLE, BROWN, BLACK

**ADULT NO-GI:**BEGINNER (Under 2 years experience)

INTERMEDIATE (2-5 years experience)

ADVANCED (Over 5 years experience)

**REGISTRATION:**

Price for one division Gi or No-Gi: $60

Late registration starts 12/21/2021 @11:59 PM: $80

Discount Price for both Gi & No-Gi: $100 ($50 Each) $130 Late registration

**START TIME: 9:00 AM FIRST MATCH**

**WEIGH-INS:**

We will have DAY BEFORE WEIGH-INS however, the time & place will be announced soon in the next few days.

SAME DAY WEIGH-INS will happen at the door when you check-in.

There will be a 2 POUND ALLOWANCE
