# Northern Grappling Co: WarriorFest > Competition in Leeds, England, United Kingdom | November 12, 2022 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** The Northern grappling Co’s warriorFest is a Remembrance weekend charity BJJ event raising money for two veteran charities; The British limbless veterans Association (BLESMA) and Sporting Force: The veteran's sport charity. The family-friendly event boasts a state-of-the-art Sports arena at Leeds Beckett University, professional-grade competition mats, high-quality medals and fully qualified officials and experienced referees. Plus, dozens of family themed fundraising activities. Most administration/event staff are veterans involved in one or both charities. Additionally, all competitors receive a 12-week strength, power and mobility programme for BJJ and a year-long periodisation plan. This was designed by lecturing and research team staff at Leeds Beckett University’s School of Health. Finally, there will be an area offering massage, tapping and injury advice. FAQ Do I have to wear a graded Rashguard? No, you can wear whatever rashguard you like. Leggings or shorts without zips or buttons are adequate for the lower extremities. When do I have to weigh in? The doors open at 9:00. You can weigh in from then up until 45mins before your first match. Where is the event? The event is in Sports hall 2 inside Leeds Beckett University's Headingley campus. There is ample parking for visitors.
