After an amazing showing of skill and Jiu-Jitsu and, athletes testing their skills and representing gyms among the North Alabama area we listened to your feedback and our excited to share the details of the next tournament. We heard your feedback, and we agree PURPLE BELTS ARE IN and there will be an ABSOLUTE division.  This tournament rather than being White belts and Blues belts it will be separated based on Belt/Skill level. This will remain an INVITE ONLY tournament. The invited gyms are listed below. -Date & Time: January 24th, 2025 @10:00am  *Location* -97 Hughes Rd K, Madison, AL 35758 *Contact Email* alexjarrell43@gmail.com We will be offering an overall No-Gi Absolute Division that all are welcomed to enter no matter skill or size. If an athlete would like to participate in the absolute division, they MUST register and compete in at least the Gi or No-Gi division. We are excited to announce that the overall winner of the Male Absolute will receive a 500$ CASH PRIZE. Venmo: @AlexJarrell *Price* -50$ will cover entry fee for the athletes to compete in Gi & No Gi. If an athlete decides to only compete in one division the price will remain 50$ -Absolute Division will be an additional 25$.  WEIGH IN TIMES: 9:00AM-10:00AM  White/Blue Belts will follow the beginner rules below:  *Length* Each Round will be set for 8 Minutes. If no submission occurs within the allotted time it will go the refs decision *ILLEAGAL TECHNIQUES" -Heel Hooks -Slamming (takedowns are allowed) -Jumping Guard -Twisters -Toe Holds -Jumping submission -Scissor Takedown *Elimination* -It will be double elimination PER division Blue (4+ years of experience)/Purple Belts will follow the advance rules: *Length* Each Round will be set for 8 Minutes. If no submission occurs within the allotted time it will go to overtime.  *Overtime Ruleset* Fastest Submission/Escape from back control. Both athletes will have an opportunity to have back control *ILLEAGAL TECHNIQUES* -Heel Hooks (Allowed in No-GI) -Slamming (Takedowns are allowed) -Jumping Guard -Scissor Takedown -Twister/Spinal Manipulation  -Double Elimination PER division *Length* Each Round will be set for 8 Minutes.
