# PBG Presents: J-JWI Open (Kids & Teens Ages 11+) > Competition in Castle Rock, Colorado, United States | June 21, 2025 – June 22, 2025 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** This will be our first event to allow kids & teens the opportunity to experience our viral JWI Overtime Ruleset. Winners will qualify to be on future official JWI cards. Spectators will be $10 at the door. Matches will start promptly after the PBG kids & teens open, likely sometime after 3 PM. While we may allow more ages in the future, for now we have made the decision to only allow kids & teens ages 11-17. For this event, competitors mut wear Gi's. However, the ruleset is much different than regular Gi rulesets are. The competitors must start with their uniform on and belt tied properly, but after the match starts, the competitors can take their belts and Gi tops off either to discard them or to use them against their opponent. While Gi tops and belts can be used against opponents, as a safety precaution, we will not allow for Gi tops or belts to be looped around an opponents neck more than once. The referee will not stop matches if belts or Gi tops fall off. Matches will be 3 minutes submission only. If there is no submission by the 2 minute mark, a prop/training weapon will be placed into the arena by the referee. At the 1 minute 30 second mark, the table worker will flip a coin which will determine whether a prop knife or prop gun will be placed into the arena. The prop weapons we will be using are soft rubberized material. The prop gun will not have an accessible trigger guard to keep fingers safe. To clearly indicate a win with a prop gun, the competitor must point in the direction of the opponent and audible say "Bang!" To clearly indicate a win with a prop knife the competitor must GENTLY touch the opponent in the torso. The referee will call the match promptly when there has been a clear indication of win with a prop weapon. Remember to be a good sport and have fun! Afterall, this is the most fun and exciting ruleset out there by far! We encourage competitors to add to the fun and play dead for a second if you know you're beat. There will be absolutely no striking allowed with the prop weapons. This will be grounds for immediate disqualification and a lifetime ban, zero tolerance. Absolutely no Scissor Takedowns, Toe Holds, Knee Bars, Heel Hooks, Neck Cranks, or Slamming/Spiking. Referees will do their best to give warnings prior to immediate disqualifications, but some situations may require immediate disqualification at referees discretion.
