# Pit Boss Grappling Kids & Teens Open - Castle Rock, CO

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** The PBG exists to support our community as we work together to elevate our sport. 

ACADEMY PROFIT SHARE: $30 of each registration goes to back to the academy/team of the competitor.

We will be running 3 different start times according to division ages. Please double check your division, in case of merges. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time. 

 START TIME SCHEDULE:

5-8 Years Old 9 AM

8-10 Years Old 10:30 AM

11-17 Years Old 1:30 PM

Our goal is for each competitor to have a fair amount of matches. We will merge divisions as necessary to ensure competitors get matches.

Ruleset is similar to other popular jiu jitsu tournaments with timed & scored matches.

2 minutes for 3-4 years

3 minutes for 5-13 years

 4 minutes for 14-17 years

1 Point = Solid Submission Attempt (At Referee Discretion)

2 Points = Knee on Belly, Sweeps, & Takedown (If against a wall, one hip and one shoulder of opponent must be grounded for 3 seconds for points to be awarded)

3 Points = Guard pass secured for 3 seconds. 

4 Points = Back Mount or Top Mount secured for 3 seconds. (Will count even if against the wall)

No Scissor Takedowns, Reaping, Toe Holds, Knee Bars, Heel Hooks, Neck Cranks, or Slamming/Spiking.
