**Description:** PLAY FIGHT FESTIVAL

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU, JUDO, SAMBO, WRESTLING, LUTA LIVRE & ALL KIND OF GRAPPLING MARTIAL ARTS

**MISSION**

Provide to all participants a real combat challenge experience in a welcoming, friendly and cooperative environment, exchanging schools, cultural and social knowledge aiming to unify the martial arts community and any related communities.

**THE EVENT**

There will be divisions with GI and without Gi.

              Participants will be accommodated in group of 4 people at the maximum capacity

              Each participant will face off all participants of the bracket on a play fight system.

              In case there are only 2 or 3 athletes in a group division, participants may engage in multiples matches to ensure each athlete has guaranteed minimum of three matches.

**RULES**

For the**kids**divisions(up to 12 years old), the event will use modified Judo rules to accommodate other styles of martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Luta Livre,Sambo or any kind of grappling martial art.

For all other divisions( 13 years old and above) , the event will use modified Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rules to accommodate other styles of martial arts such as Sambo, Wrestling, Luta livre, Judo or any kind of grappling martial art.

* For all age divisions, prohibited hazardous manoeuvres, such as slams and jumping guard for beginners, will align with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rules

**MATCH TIME:**

3 MIN FOR KIDS

4 MIN FOR TEENS

5 MIN FOR BEGINNERS & INTERMEDIATES ADULTS

6 MIN FOR ADVANCED ADULTS (BLACK BELTS)

**WEIGHT DIVISIONS**

Participants will be accommodate in their respective groups with no more than 6 kilos difference.

**Brackets**

Participants will be accommodated in group of 4 people at the maximum capacity

Each participant will face off all participants of the bracket

**JUDO MODIFIED RULES**

 Ippon will only be considered on the ground on mount or back control positions.

 Ippon calls will be minimized to 10 seconds or when the mat caretaker decides it is necessary.

The matches will be disputed without submissions, strangulations or blows of trauma of any kind.

**BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU MODIFIED RULES**

The matches will be without points and with *submissions

The matches will be disputed without blows of trauma of any kind.

**THE PLAY FIGHT SYSTEM**

 There will be only exhibition matches, that is, once the ippon or a submission is performed, the match will be restarted with both participants standing again and will only be ended when time runs out. It will end without a result.

**THE MAT CARETAKER (REFEREE)**

 The Mat Caretaker (Referee) Will be responsible to start, stop the match, keep the bout entertained and look after the participants safety and wellbeing.

 The match will only be interrupted by the mat caretaker (referee) in case of safety, time runs out or when ippon or submission is performed.
