Event Information

The Pro Open Jiu-Jitsu Denver is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament open to Kids, Juveniles, Adults (Male & Female), and Masters divisions, for all belt levels.

This event will feature both Gi and No-Gi divisions.

Rules

This tournament will follow the official IBJJF Rules.

Athletes are responsible for knowing and understanding all rules and regulations.

Registration Fees

(1 or 2 divisions included)

Early Registration

Deadline: January 16, 2026 – 11:59 PM

Kids, Juveniles & Adults (16+) – $83

Normal Registration

Deadline: February 16, 2026 – 11:59 PM

Kids, Juveniles & Adults (16+) – $98

Late Registration

Deadline: March 16, 2026 – 11:59 PM

Kids, Juveniles & Adults (16+) – $119

Final Registration Deadline:

All registrations must be completed by March 23th , 2026 at 11:59 PM.

All Black Belts compete for free.



Important Dates

Schedule and Brackets Release: March 26th, 2026

Tournament Day: Saturday, March 28th, 2026



Spectators

Spectator Fee: $15

Children 8 years old and under enter free.

Each academy with registered athletes is allowed two coaches.

Additional coaches may be allowed with prior notice.

Accepted payments at the door: Cash, Venmo, and Zelle.



Awards and Format

Double elimination tournament.

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division.

Third place matches will be contested.

Team trophies will be awarded to the top 3 academies/affiliations in the Adult division.



Weigh-Ins

Weigh-ins take place before the athlete’s first match.

Athletes must weigh in with Gi and No-Gi.

Only one weigh-in attempt is allowed.

There is no weight tolerance.

Athletes who do not make weight will be immediately disqualified.

No division changes will be allowed on tournament day.

No refunds.

Example:

Rooster (-107.0 lbs) means the athlete must weigh 107.0 lbs or less with the Gi on.

107.1 lbs will result in disqualification.



Podium and Medals

Medals will be awarded on-site only.

All medalists must wear their Gi on the podium.

Medals must be picked up at the event.

Pro Open JJ is not responsible for shipping medals.



Additional Information

Pro Open JJ reserves the right to close registration when full capacity is reached or at the registration deadline, whichever comes first.

Adult athletes must present a valid photo ID before each match.

Athletes are responsible for knowing all rules, uniform requirements, and code of conduct.
