# RCI 2 TRIALS

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** There will be**two trials events**throughout the year, giving competitors multiple opportunities to earn their place at RCI2.

These trials are**exclusively open to white and blue belt competitors**, standard IBJJF Rules with the following divisions available**for each belt level**:

	•	Under 66kg

	•	Under 76kg

	•	Under 86kg

Each division will feature**8 competitors in a league format**, with**four guaranteed 5 minute matches against different opponents**for every athlete — no early eliminations. This format ensures maximum mat time and a fair opportunity to prove yourself.

points system breakdown ;

- Win via Submission (3 points)

- win via points (2 points)

- draw (1 point)

After four rounds, the**top two placed athletes**in each division will earn an**automatic invite to RCI2**.

Positions**3rd and 4th**will face off in a playoff match for the**final invitational spot**, and a chance to compete for a share of the**£1,000 prize pool for blue belts +**merchandise and sponsorship opportunities for white belts!

For the first time, we are also introducing**women’s divisions under 62kg**, following the**same format, rules, and prize structure**as the men’s divisions.

In addition, RCI2 Trials will feature our first-ever**Squads Tournament**, with an**8-team bracket**and a**£1,000 cash prize**awarded to the winning team.
