All athletes are eligible to receive CASH prize money upon wining their respective match.  Cash Prizes are paid based upon criteria in our compensation agreement and athletes respective Belt Rank.

$100 - White Belt Winner

$200 - Blue / Grey Belt Winner

$250 - Purple / Yellow Belt Winner

$300 - Brown / Orange Belt Winner

$500 - Black / Green Belt Winner

All perspective applicants wanting to compete in our event must complete our Athlete Application - Compensation Agreement - Waiver in order to be eligible to participate in the event. In the event the athlete registers for our event thru the SmoothComp system and a match is not decided for you, a full event credit will be provided automatically via smooth comp. Our match-up deadline is 3pm the Thursday prior to the event.  After the deadline (3pm - Thursday prior to the event), all match-up will have been made and considered final with no event credit available.   Athletes whose opponents no show or withdraw from their match leaving them without a suitable competitor on the event day will receive a full coupon credit. Credits are issued when you log into your account and cancel your event registration. Coupon codes are viewable in the “MY Account” area of SmoothComp.   Athletes who register thru our RJJC1 site are not charged any fee for their registration and therefore are not eligible for a SmoothComp Credit.

Weigh-ins begin at 9 A.M. the day of the event. Athletes must weigh-in with Kimono (Gi) if they have registered to compete as a Kimono Fighter.  Otherwise athletes who are competing in No-Gi may wear whatever appropriate attire they choose to weigh-in with to make their designated weight.  If an athlete cannot make weight they will be given a grace period to lose the designated weight and reweigh-in.  In the event the athlete fails to make weight they may still compete, however the are be ineligible for match winning prizes.

Matches for Kids Grey and Yellow Belts will be 5 minutes in length.

Matches for Adult White thru Purple Belts will be 5 minutes in length.

Matches for Kids Green Belts and Adult Brown &amp; Black Belts will be 8 minutes in length.

Championship matches for Kids will be 8 minutes.

Championship matches for Adults will be 10 minutes.

Competitors must submit their opponent within the match length time limit to win. There are no points or advantages awarded for positions or techniques. Competitors win by submitting their opponent. If no submission occurs during the match a winner will be determined by referee decision.

Submission is based upon physical tapping, a verbal tap, or yelling during a submission attempt. If an opponent must have the match stopped for any injury related incident or any other reason beyond control that does not warrant any disqualifications, the opponent will have 5 mins to return to the match or they will have to forfeit the match.
