An athlete may register in multiple weight and age categories. Each GI and NO GI registration is paid separately **If there are fewer than two participants in a weight category, it will be merged with the next one until there are at least two competitors in the category. The tournament organizers reserve the right to intervene in the distribution of athletes into groups to prevent high-level athletes from competing in beginner categories. ***Beginner level athletes are athletes: If an athlete is found to have registered in a category not appropriate for their level, they will be moved to the appropriate category or disqualified from the tournament. If you are aware of any violations of the classification rules listed above, please send the information to the organizers in advance. Information provided on the day of weigh-in or the tournament will not be accepted. REGISTRATION Standard: from April 11, 2025, to May 29, 2025 (23:59): KIDS 1-4, Infants, Teens, Juveniles - 30$ (15000 тг.) After registration closes, athletes who failed to register can contact the tournament organizers "SAMURAI OPEN" at +7 747 380 3760 and receive the service for missed registration (only before the weigh-in procedure). The cost of missed registration is 20,000 KZT. Coaches are not required to register on the website www.smoothcomp.com. WEIGH-IN GI/NO GI: May 31, 2025, from 10:00 to 17:00. (10:00-14:00 kids 4-11, 14:00-17:00 12 years and older). Team weigh-in with coach is allowed at any time! There will be no additional weigh-in on the day of the competition!!! Weigh-in will take place in SHORTS AND A T-SHIRT. There is NO tolerance for exceeding weight limits. If an athlete does not fit into the declared weight category, they may be moved to the next category that matches their weight. A fine of 50% of the "late" registration fee will apply for moving to the corresponding weight category. COMPETITIONS June 01, 2025, GI/NO GI, starts at 10:00 Categories: BOYS GI/BOYS NO GI (4-11 years) and GIRLS GI/GIRLS NO GI (4-11 years) for Beginner and Pre Intermediate Levels will compete using a festival system (4 participants in a bracket, in case of a loss in the semifinals, 2 bronze medals). BOYS/GIRLS KIDS 3 PRO and BOYS/GIRLS KIDS 4 PRO - NEW CATEGORIES. NO FESTIVAL – general knockout bracket, in case of a loss in the semifinals, 2 bronze medals). All other categories will compete in a full knockout bracket, in case of a loss in the semifinals, 2 bronze medals). Attention!!! Each participant must be in the warm-up zone during the competition according to the schedule. If a participant fails to appear within 2 minutes after being called, and their opponent is on the mat (tatami), the absent athlete will be disqualified for not showing up. Each athlete/coach is responsible for arriving on time to the competition zone. In case of injury during the match, first aid will be provided by a qualified specialist. Further recovery and responsibility for life and health lies with the athlete or their legal representatives. Attention! Participants and/or their relatives who engage in negative hype on social media that causes or could cause damage to the reputation of SAMURAI OPEN and the tournament sponsors will not be allowed to participate in the tournament. The tournament organizers reserve the right to disqualify an athlete from participation in the tournament at their discretion.
