Shawn’s journey into Jiu Jitsu started at an early age when his older cousins, who were practitioners, would teach him new techniques on the weekends during family gatherings. In 2011, Shawn started training full time in MMA, where he later achieved a 3-1 record and became the #2 ranked Featherweight in New England. By 2014, he switched his focus solely to Jiu Jitsu, winning multiple super fights and competitions over the years. Shawn has recently been competing among the top Jiu Jitsu athletes in the world and is one of the top black belts in the region. Outside of training, Shawn is also a proud father to his son and a wonderful husband. Now, he’s looking to pass on all the information he’s learned while working on growing the top No-Gi team in the area!
