Sioux Falls Convention Center, April 26th & 27th Available until March 1st March 1 - April 15th April 15 - April 25 at 12:30 P.M Available at the door. Friday Afternoon before the tournament, event brackets and a schedule will be released. You will be able to locate both on the event page brackets and schedule tab. The referee at your mat will also make a courtesy call for you to come to the mat if you haven’t already presented yourself for the bracket. Please be at the mat on time for your matches. We ask that you make sure to be present in the venue at least 60 minutes prior your division start time as well, fast matches or short forms sometimes allow us to get a head start on certain divisions. You can also tell when your matches are coming up by checking the tab on your mobile device during the competition Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 - 11:59 P.M. - Registration Closes - No changes to registration can be made after this date. 9:30 A.M. - Grappling Begins 10:00 - Judges & Instructors Meeting 10:30- Opening Ceremony 10:45 - Forms Competition Begins Order of Events: Black Belt Forms, Traditional Forms, Freestyle Forms, Weapons Forms, Point Fighting, Padded Sword Sunday Event has been cancelled - Due to the low number of entries this year, all Sunday Grappling has been moved to Saturday A.M. Please update your registration or Contact Sensei Joe Herreman for a full refund of your grappling entry if this will prevent you from competing. For complete rules please visit our website at www.siouxfallsopen.com After the 12:30 P.M. deadline on April 25th to edit registration information, competitors that do not have anyone in their division will be combined into another appropriate division. The goal is to provide every competitor with the best competition available. Due to the change in competition days, we are offering refunds up until April 23rd. After brackets have set the evening of the 23rd, no refunds are available. As this is our first time using Smoothcomp, we are going to remove the requirement for day of weigh-ins. Instead we are going to trust athletes to register in the correct weight class.
