Our tournament offers a modified IBJJF ruleset, for the sake of simplicity there will be no "advantages", ensuring grapplers get a chance to learn the basics of the rule system and spectators have an easier time learning the gameplay of the sport.

Black belts compete for free!

When you register for your No-Gi, or Gi division. You are able to register to the other division for free.

Early Bird pricing TILL AUGUST 14TH - $60

Normal TILL SEPTEMBER 7TH - $70

Late TILL SEPTEMBER 12TH - $80

The South Dakota Open uses a double elimination bracket.

Custom gold, silver, and bronze medals will be provided to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

A banner and podium will be set up for pictures.
