Welcome to SUMMA's first hosted Intervarsity Tournament for the academic year 2022/23!

**LOCATION**: The Cube, University Rd, Southampton SO17 1BJ

**EVENT START**: 11 AM TO 6 PM +

**RULES**: Modified IBJJF No-Gi Rules

**FORMAT**

Double elimination

**DIVISIONS (GRAPPLING EXPERIENCE):**

**MALE WEIGHT CLASSES (KG)**

**FEMALE WEIGHT CLASSES (KG)**

Weigh-ins will take place before the matches begin.

**DISCLAIMER: Competitors may be subject to changes in weight classes/divisions if there are too few or too many entrants in a division. Divisions will be locked 2 days before the event. We are more than willing to refund anyone who is unhappy with any changes made to their bracket**

**REGISTRATION**

As the name implies, registration is limited to competitors who are attending a University BJJ Club or entrants who are currently studying at university. However, if nearing the competition we need to fill up divisions we will be opening up registration to anyone.

If you are attending university but attend an external gym please drop us a message on our socials, we would definitely be willing to make an exception.

The 3 to 12 months division is strictly for competitors who have begun grappling in the recent academic terms. We will not tolerate sandbagging of any kind in this division as it is meant for beginners to have a fun, competitive experience. Any competitor suspected of being significantly outside of the skill level on the bracket on the day may be disqualified.

In regards to the 12 months to 2 years division, this is for experienced "white belts" who have substantial grappling experience. Thus, blue belts are not allowed to register for this division as well as grapplers who have been training for over 2 years.

All entrants will be vetted beforehand to make sure they are complying with the division guidelines.

**PAYMENT**

Once you have registered for the event, the registration fee is payable to SUMMA by bank transfer. Please put your name as the reference as well as send a confirmation of payment through an Instagram/FB/Whatsapp DM and we will verify your registration manually. All the relevant socials can be found on the right-hand side of the event page.
