About This Event
Welcome to New Zealand's premier submission grappling competition circuit! Come prove yourself as one of the best submission artists in the country.
Our round robin, unique submission-based format was designed with the competitor in mind, offering you multiple matches to ensure plenty of experience on the mats and maximum competitive value.
With shorter rounds and a focus on submissions, our format eliminates stalling and encourages high-paced, action-driven matches that keep competitors fully engaged. Whether it’s your first competition or you're a seasoned grappler, our rules are crafted to deliver the most rewarding experience possible, putting skill, creativity, and technique at the forefront.

Parking: Large carpark on-site
Doors open: 8am
Weigh-in time: Open from 9am
Rules briefing: 8.45am
Matches start: 9am
Spectator fee: $10 per person or $25 per family, under 5s are free
Head coaches may spectate for free (maximum 2 per gym). We keep a spreadsheet tracking this, please confirm you are on the list and send us an email at info@stealthgrappling.com PRIOR to the competition if you are not, so we can add you to the list. Check the list here

We're always looking for people to help us with setup & packdown (2-3 hours physical labour) in exchange for free registration. If you're interested, please let us know ASAP (ideally as soon as the event is announced) so that we can mark you down and approve your entry.

We understand competing isn't the cheapest, especially if you have more than one mouth to feed. We've got you covered - register one child to compete, and get 50% off for every additional child!
When making payment here, please make sure to add all of your children's entries to your cart before checking out - the discount is automatically calculated based on order size.
If this is your first time needing the discount, please email us at info@stealthgrappling.com requesting for the discount to be applied to your profile.
If you have already used a sibling discount before, we should have applied the code to your profile already. If not, our apologies - please email us so that we can add it on.
Athletes who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their divisions will receive high quality gold, silver and bronze medals.
Prizegiving will be held as soon as the division ends - if you place 1st, 2nd or 3rd, please go straight to the podium to receive your medal. Gi divisions will be run first, then no-gi - If you're competing in both divisions and you medal in your gi division, please go straight to the podium to receive your medal, before changing into your no-gi gear.
If you wish to edit your registration, you can do this any time up until registrations close, by going into your Smoothcomp account, finding the registration, and clicking 'Edit'.
If you wish to withdraw before registrations close, you are eligible for a full credit (valid for any of our future competitions) - You can do this yourself on Smoothcomp by browsing to your account and clicking 'Cancel' on the registration).
If you need to pull out after registrations close, please email us at info@stealthgrappling.com so that we can process the credit manually. Friday 12pm is the we will consider offering a credit for a late withdrawal - we do not have time to be processing these requests at 10pm the night before the competition!
If you're still alone when registrations close, we'll attempt to find a suitable division by merging you up to another division that has athletes in it.

We send out emails on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to the competition containing important information regarding the groupings and brackets, and provide the opportunity to request/question any changes made to your division.
If you haven't received them, please check your spam folder and whitelist us as a sender. Please note the emails will be sent to whichever email address is associated with your Smoothcomp account.
