If  you are coming across a national border, please be
sure that you can make it on time.

If you are alone in your weight division, you will be moved to the
closest division to help find you a match. You will most likely be
moved up, but if required we will move you down for best
match-ups. For white and blue belts, everyone is welcome to
try out our absolute division, which is the biggest division in
our tournament. Let us know if you have any questions.

Submission War has 3 goals:

 However,
depending on the number of people, we may start the event an hour or
2 earlier.

If you missed the registration deadline, you can still sign up for 100 CAD by weight division or 50 CAD for absolute if your division has not started yet.

The rules of this tournament are based on ADCC rules.

First half is Submission Only, then we continue onto other half
for Points. If the competitors are still on tie, we will do a
standard OT round. If the scores are still on tie after Regular OT,
then they will move onto modified EBI overtime.

Every time one of the kids mounts, takes the back or closes their
guard for 3 seconds we stop the fight, that participant will be
awarded one point and will start again.

Belly down mount, after 3 seconds is an ippon.

The first competitor to reach 3 points wins.

No submissions allowed.

To gain points, positions must be held for 3 seconds.

If Participant A starts throwing but ends up on the bottom in a position that is not mounted or back controlled, participant B doesn't get a point.

For every attend to progress in the fight, the fighter will get an action point but not to counterattack.

Side control = 2 points

Direct mount after passing guard = 4 points

Mount after getting side control points = 1 point

Back control (body triangle or hooks) = 4 points

Takedown (hips on the floor) = 2
points

Closed guard = 1 point

Triangle = 2 points

411 with control of the two legs = 2 point

Sweep if legs aren't attacked by an opponent: 1 Points

Turtle top: 1 Point

When a participant reaches either mount, back control, close guard or 411 will get their respective points after 3 seconds and 1 point for every 10-second lock in that position.

The first to reach 10 points will win in normal or over time.

No Submissions.

If the points are the same after 6 minutes, there will be 6
minutes of overtime.

Positions must be held for 3 seconds to gain points.

Competitors are not rewarded for farming points by
simply repeating locking or controlling motion. Ex. opening and
closing triangle without resetting away from the position.

For takedowns and side controls, you only need the hips on the floor for 3 seconds. If Participant A starts throwing but ends up on the bottom in a position that is not mounted or back-control, Participant B doesn't get a point.

A Sweep is only considered when an Athlete goes over the other and goes at least on their knees, and his leg is not gripped by the opponent for more than 3 seconds.

To make fights more exciting, competitors who pull guard
will be given a penalty point
. (Ex. Directly sitting, Turtle or
pulling before a takedown has taken place)

However, If an athlete manages to go straight into
submission position
, they will not lose any points. This also
applies to the points phase, if the athlete manages to go straight
into closed guard, they will not lose any points.

You may pull guard without losing points after a takedown attempt
happens, only after you decide to go to turtle for 3 seconds. This is because if you wish to pull guard, you have to
give a bad position to your opponent.

for every attend to progress in the fight, the participant will have an action point.
