# The Championship Rounds 4 (Presented By: Turtle Guard Tournaments)

**Description:** Some things are changing with The Championship Rounds.  First off, it will no longer be a mini tournament format, we will be switching to singles matches.  So how does it work then?

Well there are two types of superfights available: Standard Matches, and Championship Matches!  So you're child can either sign up for a standard match, with smaller more defined weight divisions.  Or, they can sign up for a Championship match.  Championship matches are, generally speaking, going to be tougher.  The weight class is broader, the time limit is a little longer, the competition will probably be tougher.  That's because the winner takes home a championship belt, so the stakes are higher!

There's no limit on how many can sign up for standard matches, but Championship Matches will have a limit.  If there's a current reigning champion, then there's one spot left for a challenger.  If the a title is vacant, then there's 2 spots available for challengers.

Registration to compete in a superfight is only $50, whether it be a standard match or championship match!  For those competitors who love a challenge, kids are allowed to fight in more than one superfight, but this will require a separate discounted registration fee.  Message me if interested in more than one match.

**Those who win a Standard Match:**

- Will receive a $100 cash prize (requirements must be met)

- Will be awarded a gold medal

- Could get first dibs on a championship match

**Those who win a Championship Match:**

- Will receive a $150 cash prize (requirements must be met)

- Will be awarded a gold medal

- Will have free registration to any TGT events as long as they are champion

- Will take home a new Championship Rounds Title, making them one of our current, reigning, defending, undisputed CHAMPIONS!

The entire event will be live streamed, with commentary, on the TGT twitch channel.  It will be free to watch, and will also be released on our YouTube channel in the following days after the event.

The Championship Rounds 4 will be taking place August 5th, 2023 at the RMB Fairgrounds, located in Robstown, TX!  The venue is located only 15 minutes outside of Corpus Christi.  Spectators are welcome to come and watch for only $15.  This will give you access to all day jiu-jitsu action!
