There will be 1 adult spectator ticket FREE per
Kid/Juvenile/Teens entry (Please make yourself known at the weigh in. You will
only receive 1 adult spectator even if your child registers for more than
one division. 



Only those who are listed coaches at an academy
will be eligible for a coach pass at our events. The reason for the coach
passes is to ease the number of people in the coaches/athlete area.

Security check points will be in place to ensure
those entering the area have a coach pass - we request that you be respectful
to staff always.

To apply for a Coach Pass you will need to
contact us via email with the subject line “Coach Pass Application”. Will will
reply to your email to inform you the result of your application. Please
include your:

If you do not have a Coach Pass you will
not be allowed to coach on the day.

1 Coach Pass per 5 students.



White belt (or less than 18 months experience,
IBJJF white belt rules, 5-minute matches)

Blue belt (or between more than 18 months and
less than 36 months experience, IBJJF blue belt rules, 6-minute matches)

Purple belt (or those who have grappled for more
than 36 months but less than 60 months uses IBJJF, 7-minute matches)

Brown Belt (or more than 5 years grappling
experience but less than 8, IBJJF brown belt rules, 8-minute matches)

Black Belt (or more than 8 years grappling
experience, IBJJF black belt rules, 10-minute matches)

There will be Masters divisions for all
competitors aged between 30 and 39 inclusive and a Seniors division for
competitors who are aged 40 or over. All masters and seniors’ matches are 5
minutes long at white, blue and purple.

: Judo Black Belts, Professional MMA fighters and
those who have wrestled at a national level are ineligible to compete at white
belt and must enter at blue belt minimum for gi and for no gi regardless of BJJ
grade.

Weigh-ins will begin from 8am (First bouts
at 9am). You will need to weigh in for gi/no gi at the same time. Please ensure
you have weighed in a minimum of ONE HOUR before your bout at the latest. All
weigh-ins will be conducted with the gi. All weights as per IBJJF, all
competitors must make weight on our scales. There are no allowances given.

: If you need to
cancel, we offer a 100% refund back to your original payment method up until
the event’s Normal Registration deadline. If it is after this time,
circumstances will be considered but not guaranteed so, please contact us by

Competitors
can edit (weight, belt promotion, age) or cancel their registration anytime up
until the event’s change deadline. For more information on how to do this, see

 The event’s brackets and
schedule will be posted 48 hours prior to the event. They can be found on the
event page ‘Schedule’ tab. Match times can change during the day depending on
the time of previous bouts. Whilst we will have screens on display at the event,
we advise that you keep an eye on your match times using Smoothcomp on your
mobile devices. All brackets follow the rules set of by UKBJJA.

 Once the registration and change
deadline have passed, our bracketing team will look to create the event
brackets. Competitors that remain alone in a division after mergers are
completed will be contacted by us regarding their options. If we are unable to
match a refund will be issued.

 The Solent Open will be conducted in a
round-robin format. This will offer every competitor multiple matches per
division, regardless of wins and losses. If a division only has two
competitors, they will compete in a best-of-three matches series.  For full information about the Smoothcomp

 Team standings, points, and medal
counts are updated live available on the 'Results' tab of the event page. The top
three teams will receive trophies on the day.

This event has a zero-tolerance policy
regarding inappropriate behaviour by coaches, parents/guardians, spectators and
competitors.

All in attendance must show some restraint when
their students or team-mates are fighting. There will be competitors and
spectators of all ages at this event, and we are here to set an example.

Any swearing, inappropriate gestures, violence
(towards person or property) or berating the officials (regardless of any
decisions they make) will not be tolerated.

If this happens, the referee/organiser has the
right to disqualify that competitor, or to ask the person concerned to leave
the area. If those concerned do not comply with the referee/organisers request
the competitor will be disqualified from the event.

If a coach, parent or teammate encroaches onto
the mat, or past any barriers that are in place, or man handles an official in
any way, that person will be asked to leave the venue and the whole team may
not be permitted to take any further part in the competition.
