## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** This is an**ADULT**tournament. Competitors must be at least 18 years of age.

Doors open at 10:00 am. Athletes must check in by 11:00 am. Competition will start at 12:00 pm

Once your entire team is checked in, please stay as a group until directed by a volunteer.

Registration will look different for this tournament due to the team format. Team leaders will be creating a team profile and using that to register on behalf of their team instead of using their individual profiles. Cost to register a team will be $150 (have your teammates pay you their share). Once registration is complete, team leaders will be sent a follow up email to gather team information.

Note: You will be asked to provide your affiliation/team. Just use the team leader's club. This is a default setting that cannot be removed.

1. Team leaders will be registering on behalf of their team. [Click here](https://faeltassi.wixsite.com/wcwj/registration) to view how to create a "team profile" and register.

2. Each team will be competing against another team as a "tri-tet".

3. This will be a round robin event.

4. There will be 3 divisions: Novice Gi, Advanced Gi, and Advanced NoGi.

5. Teams can only register for 1 division

6. Five minute rounds: Submit your opponent, you collect 3 points for your team. Draw and both teams gets a point. A loss receives zero points. The team with the most points at the end of the division will win. If an overall draw happens between teams, a sudden death match will occur. One 5 minute round will take place. Each team gets to decided on who will represent their team. The first 4 minutes of the match will be sub only and if no submission occurs by then, the last minute of the match becomes point based.

1. Teams must have a total of 3 athletes. If you are having a hard time finding a team, or completing a team, please reach out and we can help you build some connections. Team leaders will be the ones contacted.

2. The maximum combined weight of the 3 athletes is 450 lbs

3. Teams can have a maximum of 1 brown/black belt competitor.

Teams can be made up of any three athletes - belt, weight, gym/affiliation etc. However, be strategic in who you build a team with.

For example: If you have 2 white belts on a team, plus one purple belt you will be pooled into the advanced division, whereas if you had 2 whites and 1 blue you would be in the Novice Division.

- Novice teams are teams made up of white/blue belts. 3 blue belts on a team will be part of the advanced bracket.

- Advanced brackets are teams made up of ideally blue belt and up. White belts are allowed to register but it is not recommended.
