Founded by Professor Daniel Lima, a 5th-degree black belt and pioneer in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA in Australia, Fight Club has grown into one of Queensland's strongest and most respected teams. The academy offers unlimited classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Muay Thai for both adults and children.

Professor Daniel Lima brings world-class credentials to Fight Club, including titles as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu National Champion, North American Submission Wrestling Champion, and XFC Australian Champion. Born in Brasilia, Brazil, Daniel co-founded Fight Club Jiu-Jitsu with Marcio Bittencourt in Brazil before expanding the organization internationally. He has competed at the highest levels in both BJJ and MMA across Brazil, USA, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines, and Australia, earning a rank of #2 in the world by the Shooto Association.

The coaching team includes accomplished instructors such as Gavin Hain (2nd-degree black belt), a former XFC amateur lightweight champion with extensive experience in kickboxing and MMA; Kaela Banney (black belt), the first female XFC Atomweight champion in Australia with over 15 years of martial arts experience; and Thomas Fogarty (brown belt). **Role:** Head Instructor

**Bio:** Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA pioneer in Australia. Born in Brasilia, Brazil, Daniel has won championships around the world including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu National Champion, North American Submission Wrestling Champion, and XFC Australian Champion. Ranked #2 in the world by the Shooto Association. Co-founder of Fight Club Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil with Marcio Bittencourt before expanding internationally.


### Gavin Hain - Black

**Role:** Instructor

**Bio:** Started martial arts training at age 12 in Kempo Karate and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. Competed internationally, representing Australia in Europe at age 15. Holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, along with 4th Khan Black Armband in Black Dragon Kai Muay Thai. Former XFC amateur lightweight champion with experience in BJJ, Muay Thai, and professional MMA.


### Kaela Banney - Black

**Role:** Instructor

**Bio:** Over 15 years of martial arts experience, starting at age 7 in Muay Thai and grappling. First female XFC Atomweight champion in Australia with 12 professional fights in MMA and Muay Thai both in Australia and overseas. Holds black belt in BJJ, brown belt in Krav Maga, 2nd-degree black singlet in Bob Jones Muay Thai, and black belt in Zen Do Kai.
