BJJA is dedicated to personalized instruction and individual progression. Their proven teaching methodology ensures every student thoroughly understands techniques and can apply them in live sparring or competition. The academy has consistently produced champions of all ages, from 4 to 60 years old, with many students becoming World Champions. The academy offers a world-class facility with air conditioning and operates with no lock-in contracts.
Head instructor Ben Miller is a 3rd degree black belt with over 22 years of Jiu Jitsu experience and 11+ years at black belt, making him one of the most experienced instructors in NSW. He received his black belt from Professor Paulo Guimarães (Rickson Gracie lineage) and is an original member of Tannuri Academy Worldwide under Professor Luiz Tannuri (6th degree black belt). BJJA teaches modern competition Jiu Jitsu built on a foundation of classic Jiu Jitsu and self-defense, creating the most successful pound-for-pound competition team in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
